Award winning Maths & Computing Tutor | KS3, GCSE, A-Level
Hi, I'm Ross! I have been tutoring for over 5 years and I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential, whilst also enjoying the learning experience. I offer Maths and Computing lessons between KS3 and A-Level and I’m currently focussing on online tuition. -----Experience----- •I have tutored more than 20 students for a total of over 400 hours •Worked with students aged 11-18 of a wide range of abilities •Master’s degree in Computing from Imperial College London •DBS certified -----Teaching Style----- •Every student is different and so are my lessons. They are specifically tailored for each student’s requirements. •I offer a free consultation “lesson” to get an idea of a student’s ability, strengths and weaknesses in order to devise a custom lesson plan going forward •Students are assigned homework each week to consolidate the lesson content. This is marked before the next lesson so we can go through feedback at the start of the next lesson. •I teach in a very interactive style which encourages student engagement. I find this is more effective in allowing the student to understand the content, rather than just memorising and regurgitating. •I try to relate the content being taught to interesting real-world examples to make the lessons more relevant and exciting. •I place a large emphasis on learning from past papers since this allows students to learn exactly what is required to maximise their marks in the exam.View Profile
Coding teacher, previously Software Engineer at Google and studied CS at UCL
Former teacher (5 years) now working as a Software Engineer and Designer. Previously I worked for Google and Codecademy, a long with a bunch of other startups. My academic background is in Computer Science which I studied at UCL, achieving a First (1:1 / 4.0 GPA). I’ve won multiple awards for Software Engineering, and I have previously taught at coding bootcamps for students of all ages. My teaching style aims at making students independent and comfortable in their area of study. Teaching has been a big part of my life up until now, so even when I’m not teaching, I’m thinking of other ways to help students and teachers do better!View Profile

Don't hesitate to contact me and let's your journey to achieve high grades begins... :)) And a bit about myself: I am a civil and environmental engineer and finished my PhD in 2014. I am very passionate about teaching. Since I started my undergraduate study in 2002, I started teaching Maths and Physics to secondary, GCSE and Alevel students. During my PhD, I taught in a number of modules at the university of Surrey (the list of the modules are provided in the section of teaching experience). Currently I am a research fellow at the University of Exeter where I teach both undergraduate and master students. I also work as a professional tutor for Alevel, GCSE and secondary students in my spare time.View Profile
Computer science university teaching assistant. Taught 200+ students so far 🎓
I am currently unable to take on any new students. Sorry about that! == I'm a computer science graduate, currently in my third year completing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. I'm a teaching assistant at King's College London, and have taught over 200+ students in classrooms and around 20 students privately. I've worked in several companies of all sizes as a software engineer and a UX/UI designer. I can help you with learning how to code, programming practices, and designing software. I can also make sure you have the most important skills you need to get into university to study computer science, maths or science subjects; as well as make sure you have the skills necessary to get work experience in early years so that by the time you graduate you'll be ready to get your dream job.View Profile

Love Maths and enjoy teaching and helping other students
I am a student who was supposed to take my GCSEs this year, however, due to exam cancellations, I am able to tutor students in younger years who are going through the course now. While not having a final GCSE grade (until August), I have many progress tests and predicted grades to show I am on track for a level 9 in both regular maths and further maths, making me more than qualified to tutor in both courses. On top of this, I've participated in maths competitions on behalf of my school as well as the UKMT maths challenge every year, receiving a gold certificate and a pass into the next round (Kangaroo) this year.View Profile
Experienced tutor and undergraduate at University of Birmingham
I am a Chemical Engineering Graduate from University of Birmingham. Chemical Engineering is a mathematically rigorous subject covering all of the pure mathematics modules of the A Level syllabus i.e. C1, C2, C3, C4, FP1, FP2, and FP3. I am happy to teach chemistry and maths from GCSE all the way through to the end of the A-Level syllabus. I currently work as a software Engineer at JP Morgan, Software engineering requires mathematical Excellence and hence I possess all the necessary skills to tutor mathematics along side physics, chemistry, biology. My teaching method is to assess the students strengths and weaknesses in the chosen subject area, whether it be mathematics or chemistry, and use practice questions to focus on these areas for teaching. When revising and preparing for A - level exams the best method to ensure the highest marks is to do as many practice questions as possible and to do them under timed conditions wherever possible. To that end, my lessons aim towards having an element of timed exam questions from the exam board that the student is learning as soon as is possible. I am also happy to assist with any homework questions the student may be struggling with.View Profile

A tutor above the rest
My greatest passion in life is learning and my second greatest passion is teaching which also involves learning. A little bit about me. I was raised in Turkey, France, Pakistan and the UK. I've experienced great success throughout my life due to the amazingly approachable, friendly and unforgettable teachers that I've studied with and from. This, in fact, is the foundation of my commitment to helping my students. I've been tutoring and teaching for 6 years in small and large groups, 1 to 1 lessons to classrooms, from secondary to university students. Feel free to ask me about anything.View Profile
