A highly experienced and confident tutor.
My aim is to help each student reach their potential by improving their confidence in the subject as well as improving their ability to solve the most complex problems. My aim is to help each student reach their potential by improving their confidence in the subject as well as improving their ability to solve the most complex problems. Firstly, I will test each student’s understanding and identify the areas which they find the most difficult. Before each lesson, I will prepare a range of questions that are focused around the student’s weakest topics. I will also have prepared the solutions to these in an easy to understand format. The questions I prepare will be based on past exam questions and textbooks adaptable to their specification. I would be happy to explain mathematics concepts and answers to questions using either an online whiteboard or verbal descriptions. I aim to find ways for them to remember certain mathematic rules. It is very important all students have a clear method to reach their answer. I will therefore teach students how to layout each answer. I will look through exam board specifications to ensure I am fully aware of the topics they are required to learn. I will encourage my students to ask me as many questions as possible, so any issues they have are overcome. This will also allow me to see where they are struggling. Before their next session, I will give them questions to look through which may be challenging, so I can go through them. I will also tell them what they can do to improve their understanding.View Profile
Resourceful tutor and who is ready to teach!
Passionate about education, I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences
Currently in my third year studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at St. Anne’s College at the University of Oxford. I studied Maths, French and History at A-Levels and Physics at AS. Coming from a state comprehensive school, I spent a lot of time independently preparing for the Oxford application process including personal statements, admissions test and interview preparation. I believe this puts me in a great position to support students going through the process. As well as this, I have been tutoring students for over 3 years from a range of abilities and ages. I have tutored both in person and via Skype.View Profile

Seasoned tutor studying Law at Warwick University. Online tutoring available!
Hello! My name is Alyssa Miller and I am a first year Law student at the University of Warwick. I am half Chinese and half English; consequently, I am fluent in both English and Chinese. I have had a lot of experience in tutoring, from being a classroom helper for an entire GCSE Mandarin class, to being a personal tutor in English Literature for a struggling year 11 boy, to teaching basic Mandarin to a class full of Burmese refugee children. All these experiences have helped enhance my communication coupled with my teaching skills, it has allowed me to realise what to prioritise when approaching a new student - their strengths and weaknesses, their level of confidence towards the subject and most importantly, what learning methods best suit them. I will employ these techniques in order to ensure your child receives the best possible tutoring, and their grades coupled with their passion for the subject improve as soon as possible!View Profile
