A highly experienced and confident tutor.
My aim is to help each student reach their potential by improving their confidence in the subject as well as improving their ability to solve the most complex problems. My aim is to help each student reach their potential by improving their confidence in the subject as well as improving their ability to solve the most complex problems. Firstly, I will test each student’s understanding and identify the areas which they find the most difficult. Before each lesson, I will prepare a range of questions that are focused around the student’s weakest topics. I will also have prepared the solutions to these in an easy to understand format. The questions I prepare will be based on past exam questions and textbooks adaptable to their specification. I would be happy to explain mathematics concepts and answers to questions using either an online whiteboard or verbal descriptions. I aim to find ways for them to remember certain mathematic rules. It is very important all students have a clear method to reach their answer. I will therefore teach students how to layout each answer. I will look through exam board specifications to ensure I am fully aware of the topics they are required to learn. I will encourage my students to ask me as many questions as possible, so any issues they have are overcome. This will also allow me to see where they are struggling. Before their next session, I will give them questions to look through which may be challenging, so I can go through them. I will also tell them what they can do to improve their understanding.View Profile
Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at Queen Mary University of London
Hello, my name is Sabah! I am currently studying Economics at Queen Mary University. I enjoy studying Economics as I am able to apply the concepts and theories that I have studied to real life situations. Additionally, I particularly like the strong emphasis on Mathematics and Statistics - both of which are taught on the course. I have always had a strong passion for Mathematics and I believe it is imperative to have a comprehensive understanding of the subject. I have been awarded the 'Student of the Year' Award in Economics following my A-Level Examination Results. I studied Mathematics, Biology and Economics at A-Level and have a thorough understanding of all three subjects. I have had experience in tutoring students during their GCSEs and A-Levels, in a number of subjects, and always found the role rewarding. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others to acheive their full potential. I am also willing to help students of all abilities to develop confidence in the subjects that they are studying. I understand that subjects may become challenging at times and concepts taught may not always be clear. Therefore, I am keen to share effective revision methods, explain any difficult topics, practise exam questions and share useful resources with my students.View Profile
