A friendly tutor, helping students improve both their grades and confidence.

"Fail to prepare, prepare to fail"
Studied at Ampleforth College, boarding school in North Yorkshire. I spent my 5 years there as a Maths Tutor to my peers and those younger than me, and then proceed to take the role of Deputy head of house in my final year. This experience has made me adept at interacting with and communicating clearly to those whom I teach. I have experience with AQA, Edexcel, iGCSE and OCR examination boards. I am currently coming to the end of a gap year, 5 months of which I spent travelling the U.S west to east coast. In a couple weeks I shall commence at Kings College London to study philosophy. Having only 7 hours of contact time, I want to simultaneously better the learning of children and give the same educational aide I was so lucky to have; whilst keeping myself fed. I know exactly what it takes to get a head start in the subjects I tutor. GCSE results: -4 a*s -7 a's A-Level results: -Economics-A -Government and Politics-A -Math-A
Enthusiasm in addition to extensive knowledge is key to my teaching success.
I have been teaching 11+, 12+ and 13+ entrance, Politics, English and Economics for 4 years at various levels. Feel free to ask me if I have a certain resource that isn’t on my page! As I will upload it. I achieved 3 A*s at A-Level (in Politics English and Economics) and 7A*s and 3As at IGCSE. I recently graduated from the London School of Economics.

Passionate and experienced tutor of maths, English, chemistry & economics
I am in my final year of sixth form, undertaking the IB Diploma. Will be available to tutor after my exams are over, from the end of May. I really enjoy tutoring and have done so in the past. I am willing to put all my energy into helping others achieve their utmost best because having recently only done my GCSE’s and now doing the IB, I know how difficult and stressful it can be. I am able to adapt in several different ways in order to help my student in a way which suits them. I have previously offered tuition to other students who have achieved great success. I have helped both Eleven-Plus students who have gotten admissions into grammar schools and have also helped GCSE students flourish in their grades. I have also previously been a classroom assistant at Kumon, an international tutoring company, where I have supported several students at the same time, but in different ways, in order to help them flourish. I have recently sat my GCSE’s in 2017 and have achieved 4 A*’s (including a 9 in English Literature and a 9 in Mathematics), 8 A’s and 1B. I still have all my notes from GCSE which will allow me to provide a lot of extra support to my students by providing them with exemplar work and by providing them with extra tips for their exams.
I’m a business minded tutor who loves helping others learn!
Hi there, I’m a kiwi guy living in Wandsworth, London. I’m great with kids of all ages, a top quality teacher and listener, and a very fast learner myself. My strengths are in numbers, finance, computers, English & soft skills, but I’m open to yours and your children’s needs! I’m also bachelor qualified accountant with over 8 years experience in roles in both New Zealand and London. My teaching style is very attentive. I like to spend time ensuring the right understanding has been made. I really enjoy the eureka moments and will readily try new or different techniques if I can see if a particular style of teaching isn’t working. I’ve had experience teaching through study groups and in a working environment. I have a passion for teaching, for nurturing success and for helping people overcome obstacles. I’d very much like to become a teacher in future too. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Looking forward to helping out however I can! Corben Lawrie
Economics, Business and Politics Tutor!
Hi, My name is Adam and I am here to help you get the highest grades possible! From GCSEs to A Levels these exams can undoubtedly seem daunting but fear not! Having just completed my A Level exam with a prediction of 3 A* and As and A*s across my GCSEs, I have become fully aware of what is needed to get the highest grades. I do not seek to offer tuition in many different subjects but only to offer my GCSE and A Level tuition in Economics, Business and Politics, areas where I know i can offer you some of the best quality services. This is because I know precisely what it takes to score well in these subjects, and I feel I can offer my best quality service to you in these areas. I have extensively studied these subjects for at least 2 years now and I plan to study them further in a PPE degree at the University of Warwick, a UK leading university in this degree. I know full well what is needed to produce outstanding essays ready to smash your exams. Throughout my studies I have filtered through tons and tons of resources to find only the best resources and I would love to share that with you! Also, I have the best resources to help ensure you can develop the best analysis chains, evaluations in your essays, which are vital skills that you need to master to do well in any essay based subjects. I also have an iPad and Apple to help illustrate vital economic diagrams through zoom, whilst also guaranteeing you a very interactive form of teaching. My aim is to help you develop a passion for these subjects and the rest will be a breeze; the high grades you achieve will simply be a by-product reflecting this passion. So let me help you develop your essay writing skills and knowledge ready to excel in your exams! Further if you are doing IB in economics i can also help you with this. IB Economics exams essentially have very similar exam objectives to A Level Economics, so please do give me a shout if you need help in this too! I can also help you with trying to complete assignments to the best possible level, which is especially important if you are doing a BTEC in any of these subjects. Any questions? please do get in touch!
Patient and enthusiastic Maths, Sciences (all three),English and Economics tutor
Patient and enthusiastic Maths, Sciences & English tutor from primary school to A level (not including English and biology A level), also able to teach 11+ test content. I enjoy when students understand their work and become excited and engaged, I understand that it may take longer for people to grasp somethings which is completely normal and fine. I always adapt my teaching method if I know one method of teaching isn’t working for a specific person until they understand rather than repeating the same thing over and over in the same way. I like to make things as interactive and engaging as possible while still teaching effectively. I always aim to make a student feel extremely confident in their abilities and ready for their exams, through promoting self belief and doing small tests after content has been thoroughly covered and going over problem areas until they are polished, leaving the student completely confident in their abilities as this is an extremely important factor when it comes to studying. I provide study plans for myself before hand to make sure every topic is covered and to allow my students the best opportunity to be completely prepared and thrive.
Dedicated tutor and undergraduate at ACCA ASSOCIATION OF CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS
With more than 10 years of teaching experience of helping my students achieve the best possible results [mostly A*s], I have become an even more polished tutor and a mentor. I am also an auditor by profession with more than 7 years of working experience which has helped me in applying all the bookish knowledge in real life, making this as my Unique Selling Point. My students are best able to understand the concepts delivered during my teaching lessons because I always link every concept to real life examples which I have witnessed during my work life as a finance professional. I make sure my students are well aware of the reason for studying a particular subject and a particular concept so they are able to apply these concepts in a later stage in their professional life. I teach my students as a friend rather than as a teacher which brings them into a special comfort zone where we share ideas and clear out concepts.

Enthusiastic & Experienced Tutor Studying Economics at LSE
I believe the most important things when learning are a steady pace and understanding what style works for you as an individual. I have over a year of tutoring experience, working as an academic mentor in my final year of college and as a teacher of Spanish at a local school. Achieving 4A*s for my A-Levels (Maths, Further Maths, Economics, Spanish) and 11A*s for my GCSEs, despite being in lower sets, I believe top grades are attainable by all students. Patience and perseverance are at the forefront of my teaching style and I always strive to promote a comfortable environment in which questions of any sort are always welcome :)
