Hi my name is Amy and I love teaching!
I am currently a Psychology BSc undergraduate student hoping to specialise into Neuropsychology. And although Psychology is my chosen career path I am extremely passionate about teaching English too! I have previous experience as a tutor having completed a volunteer Peer Tutoring course with the YMCA for which I received a qualification. Furthermore, I have tutored students in the past undergoing their GCSE’s in English and Biology. I hope that I am the tutor for you or your child!
I’m passionate about working with young people so they fulfil their potential!
Since September 2018, I’ve been working at Ark Swift Primary Academy as a Graduate Co-Teacher where, alongside offering general classroom support, I run my own intervention groups for maths, guided reading and grammar in Year 6. With a group of 9-10 children, I plan, prepare and teach every morning- differentiating the material do that they can reach the expected standard in their SATs. Furthermore, I have 18 months experience as an ABA Tutor - working for the U.K. Young Autism Project. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work with several children who are on the autism spectrum - ranging from as young as 4 to as old as 19. Also, from September 2019 I’ll be studying to gain my QTS in A Level economics.

Experienced tutor and who is ready to teach!
Experienced tutor and undergraduate at University of Leicester
Passionate and fun Maths, English, 11+ & Drama tutor.
I work at University of Kent and I have over a decade of experience teaching students. I offer Maths, English, Entrance Exam and Drama tuition to students in their home, my home and online. My love of tutoring began when I started teaching Drama and Dance at the age of 17 whilst I attended The BRIT School. I went on to complete my PGCE teacher training qualification in English and Drama in 2015 where I gained substantial experience working with adult learners. I previously worked as a manager and tutor trainer at a well known tuition centre, teaching Maths, English and 11+ entrance exam preparation to students aged 4-16. I believe it's important to take time to understand the goals and expectations of students and parents at the beginning of the learning journey. I aim to be an approachable and fun tutor. I assess a student's learning style so I can tailor our lessons in the most appropriate way. Over the past year I have had great results, in particular helping students increase confidence and attainment in Maths and English at Primary, Secondary and GCSE levels.
