Education Consultant, Qualified Teacher, highly experienced Private Tutor
Currently I work on many Department for Education projects striving to improve the quality of education across the UK, particularly in the area of mental health and effective teaching. I also work as an education consultant delivering training internationally to students and teachers alike. I am a supportive and encouraging tutor, with many years experience as a qualified teacher and many more as a private tutor on a 1:1/small group level. I am educated to Masters Level in Health Psychology and Education, so I am certainly no stranger to education myself! In my "spare" time, I also mark across many exam boards for GCSE and A-Level which keeps my knowledge of how to support students fresh and relevant. I have worked with young children starting out on their education journey through to Bachelor and Masters Level University degrees. Whilst my subject specialism is Psychology, I have taught across a range of subjects with enthusiasm, which ensures that I have an excellent track record of students gaining exam results which exceed their minimum target grades, with many meeting their aspirational target grades. I have taught in a range of education settings which include: primary and secondary schools, Pupil Referral Units, Further and Higher Education. This includes working with individuals of all abilities and backgrounds, including having experience in working with individuals who may have special educational needs or have English as a second language. This has been in a variety of subjects which include: Entrance Exams, English, Maths, Science, Health, Psychology and Humanities, among others. I have taught extensively online as well as in person. I am fortunate enough to be an Examiner of KS2, GCSE and A-Level providing me with a detailed insight into a range of exam boards. I am a friendly and supportive tutor who can be relied upon to provide the best quality lessons. I like to incorporate humour and fun, tailoring my lessons to the needs and interests of the students I am delivering to.View Profile
Accomplished tutor and undergraduate at Liverpool Hope University
‘Accomplished Primary school teacher with outstanding classroom management skills and a genuine passion for helping children of all abilities reach their full potential’ I have taught a wide range of Primary Schools across all year groups from Reception to Year 5 (EYFS/KS1/KS2). After building a successful 7-year career in teaching through permanent and supply positions; I have built an extensive primary teaching skill set that allows me to deliver engaging lessons, rigorous classroom management and impressive results in development and exams. I consider my key strengths to be in EYFS, Phonics and SEND. I am currently working as a Long-Term Supply Teacher. I hold a Bachelor degree in Advanced Studies of Early Years with Education Studies, a Master’s degree in Education Studies and a PGCE in Primary Education. My background and passion for supporting and leading young children’s early educational experiences position me to significantly impact your child's potential through one to one tutoring. In addition to being a very organised teacher, I am creative and enthusiastic, and sensitive to children’s individual needs. I possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as solid computer skills. I believe that the quality of education a person receives in early life is indispensable in bringing out that person’s potential, and that all children should have access to quality learning and care. These notions are encapsulated in the EYFS, whose principles I fully support.View Profile

Law graduate with 12+ years practical work experience looking to tutor in law
Hi, Im Amba. I am a mum to a 6 year old boy, a lawyer and law tutor! I have been interested in teaching/tutoring/mentoring students for some time and have always found ways to do this in all my roles. I provide teaching on all core subjects with some options too please contact me to discuss any optional subjects. I have experience of working with students with SEN; dyslexia, ADHD and ASD. I will help you to learn through application of law to real case studies, as opposed to "throwing a load of information" at you. This is not engaging for you as there is no element of thought for you to be a sponge. i will encourage you to think for yourself and anticipate what the next steps are. I have found online sessions to be the best form of teaching as they are that little bit more interactive, I like to follow students own course outlines, working towards any upcoming assessments or seminars which need to be prepared for. I have a patient, nurturing but firm approach. I am fun, approachable and down to earth. I will always be honest and believe that everyone should further their knowledge and would love to be apart of helping someone do that! I have been tutoring students across all disciplines of law, and differing levels; A Level, CILEX, LLB, LLM, LPC and GDL. I am able to offer other subjects which are listed on my profile as i have experience within these, i am however focusing on Law Tutoring but feel free to contact me to discuss your needs and my availability. Here's a cringy video of me to introduce myself - https://youtu.be/WBsRWiPNe9A I offer both face to face and online sessions. Face to face will have added travel costs due to the cost of travel and extra time, but this will be discussed with you. ------ I also provide a proofreading service for essays, coursework, dissertations etc .I can also provide guidance as to how to structure the essay ahead of writing it so there is a starting point which will help you obtain the best possible grade and not involve a re-write after proofreading. There are different levels of packages available which are dependant on; word count and turnaround time. All prices include a video call to go through any feedback afterwards. All documents will be returned using a track changes document. Discounts for students already receiving tutoring or for multiple essays, or for a return on the same essay following feedback will apply. Please contact me for a quote. 1. Structure planning - basic structure and content ideas provided with point of interest to note. 2. Basic Formatting - spacing, margins, alignment, font, italicisation, consistent formatting throughout the document. 2. Proofreading - includes the basic formatting package as well as; improving the formality of the language, spelling, punctuation, grammar, of essays, consistent terminology, layout of the document, correcting any syntax errors. 3. Content proofreading- includes basic formatting and proofreading packages as well as; improving logic, relevance and clarity, clarification of arguments, guidance as to a specific structure and style, standardising specific terminology. Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at The University of Manchester
I have been tutoring for 5 years teaching 1-on-1 and group classes to children and adults in English, History, Religious Studies and ESL. My teaching philosophy is to guide students to solve their academic challenges through enquiry and to build confidence. I teach students techniques to write coherent analytical essays and exam answers. As well as tools to manage the information and stresses associated with academic study. For me, there is no silly question. I help students learn how to study and work towards the grades they want.View Profile

Experienced tutor and undergraduate at University of Birmingham
I’ve been a teacher for nearly twenty years and still absolutely love it as much as I did when I first started! I like to make my tutoring sessions fun and enjoyable. I find that making the maths and English lessons so they have a theme around Minecraft, Star Wars, Little Mix or whatever the child is interested in, really helps to engage them. I don’t believe in asking parents to sign up for blocks of sessions or anything like that, preferring to offer a more flexible approach, where we can see how the child is getting on and how best to move on in future sessions.View Profile
