Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at The University of Exeter
I am a qualified teacher who brings to each lesson not only my love of the language but also fun facts and key cultural insights gleaned from having lived in both francophone and hispanic speaking countries. We can learn at your rhythm and using whichever method you prefer. You can draw your answers or say them out loud, this is just a way of you getting the most vocabulary you need in order to succeed for your end of year exams! You lead the session, if you would like to watch a video instead of listen to a recording or if you would rather do an hour of grammar, the choice is in your hands! If you are more after just conversation to practise key phrases when you go on holiday abroad this summer or if you are trying to get the attention of a special person then that is also within my remit and I will be happy to be of assistance.

1st year Cambridge student offering tutoring online
I am currently a student at Trinity College, Cambridge, reading Modern and Medieval Languages (French and Spanish). In 2019, I passed my A Levels with 3A*s in French, Latin, and Spanish, and I have 12 GCSEs (9A* and 3A). I also hold ARSM Diplomas with Distinction in Singing and Flute performance, and Grade 8 Piano with distinction. I have experience as a tutor and teaching assistant, having spent my gap year as a teaching assistant for French, Latin and Music in a London prep school, and having run a Spanish club in a local primary school and French revision clinics for younger students whilst still studying at school. I am offering 1 to 1 tutoring for French, Latin and Spanish (up to A Level standard), Ancient Greek (up to GCSE standard), English and Maths (primary school/Common Entrance standard), and music lessons tailored to your needs, whether it is as a beginner or working for a specific exam (up to GCSE). Our sessions will be based around how you want to improve, whether that is grammar, speaking (in the case of French or Spanish), writing, translation, or technique wise (for music). I can also give help with exam technique, revising techniques, and higher education advice. My most recent student has gained the highest grade for Common Entrance Latin at the school he applied to, and I look forward to helping you gain equal success.

Supportive qualified primary teacher
I gained my PGCE from the University of Nottingham and am currently supply teaching across various schools. Teaching in different schools and age ranges provides me with an in-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements of all subjects at all primary age levels, whilst I am able to adapt on a daily basis. I cater for different learning styles through a mixed learning approach as I use various methods to help all learners – this includes the use of visual resources and learning through a hands-on approach. My lessons include varied activities, promoting creativity, and I ensure that high expectations are set and pupils’ learning is stretched accordingly to achieve these expectations. I am caring, supportive and positive. My enthusiasm for education transfers well during teaching, allowing children to develop a thirst for learning. I understand that each child is unique and all require a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere, and I can help children to meet their potential through an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
Undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, with lots of tutoring experience
I am currently studying Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and have been tutoring locally for a couple of years- covering a range of GCSE's and A levels. I like to find ways to explain difficult concepts and then show students that they are able to apply them, increasing their passion for learning and boosting their confidence, which are the two most important parts of education for me.
Experienced Bi-lingual French Tutor/Teacher
Hello, I am a bi-lingual speaker of French and English. I was brought up in the South of France; I then returned to England to pursue my higher education over here. I have a passion and an affinity for modern foreign languages. I take a very methodical and reasoned approach to problem-solving which is reflective of my general teaching style. I have a love for linguistics and use my interest in literacy/etymology to create memorisation techniques to help students remember vocabulary; my lessons are engaging, stimulating and fun. I hold a master's degree in Translation and Interpreting studies from the University of Manchester (with merit) and I also possess a first-class degree in Modern Foreign Language Studies with a focus on linguistics. I completed my PGCE (with distinction) and I am currently working as a full-time teacher of languages in a high school. I am currently putting together a research proposal for a PhD in Education which I hope to undertake in the near future. I am an experienced French tutor with over 10 years’ experience having taught students from KS3 to adult learners. I aim to equip all students with the necessary skills in order to be precise and concise so that they understand and use information so as to reach their full potential, especially under the pressure of exam conditions. I encourage students to develop skills to pass their exams and, ultimately, to enjoy language learning. I am available to tutor all ages up to undergraduate level in French. Lessons will focus on improving and perfecting listening, reading, writing, grammar and oral skills. I can also offer sessions for adults who would like to improve their general French. I am very flexible and will endeavour to accommodate all your needs. Please don't hesitate to send me a message if you are interested or would like to find out more!

Straight As student at National 5/GCSE level.
Hi! My name is Graeme and I was working towards my National 5 (GCSE) exams last year before Covid-19. I managed to achieve As in all 7 Nat 5 (GCSE) subjects, and I’m now doing Highers (A-levels) in 5 of them; English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry & French. (For Scottish students, 5 is generally the maximum number of Highers that can be sat.) I’m more than happy to help with anything Biology, Chemistry, French or Music. I also studied National 5 Modern Studies (a bit like politics for any non-Scottish students) which I’d also be delighted to help you with. As well as academics, I also regularly partake in my school’s biennial musical theatre production. This has sadly been postponed due to Covid-19 this year.
