A supportive and engaging tutor with an aim for success
Hi! My name is Sohini, a friendly and helpful tutor currently studying Maths at the LSE because of how much I love the subject and teaching it, so I would say that I major in Maths. Nevertheless, I have always enjoyed learning and teaching languages to others, in particular Spanish, French and Bengali. To quickly describe myself, I am 21-years old and have worked as a tutor for approximately 5 years now. From my experiences, I have picked up new and creative ways to make education as enjoyable and enlightening as possible. For a short time, I did also work as a fundraiser for multiple charities which enhanced my optimism and made me more confident with my abilities. In short, I don't give up. I consistently try to improve the development of my students so that they are satisfied with their quality of education and level of confidence. I have experience working at homes, schools and tutoring centres, and I have mostly worked with those aged between 5 and 17, both while employed and while volunteering. However, I have never limited myself to a particular age when it comes to taking students - learning is for all ages! Finally, I am flexible, both in time and lesson rate, and quick to respond to messages for lessons so feel free to message me, even if you don't see the time slot you want. Last updated: 24/07/18
Cambridge-educated Languages tutor with ten years’ experience.
I am a Cambridge languages graduate offering tuition in English, French and Spanish. I have ten years’ tutoring experience and a lot of teaching experience, having spent my gap year in 2010 and my year abroad during my degree in 2013 working as an English language assistant in schools in France. I have also worked as an English language tutor for school age children and adult learners. From 2008 to 2010, I spent two years volunteering weekly at a primary school in Cheltenham, helping the children with their reading and literacy skills. As well as offering tuition in English, French and Spanish from primary school level up to the final year of A Levels, I can also offer a valuable insight into Oxbridge interviews or preparation for university entrance interviews. I am committed and determined, and confident that I can provide an interesting and useful learning experience which is tailored to the specific requirements of each student and which delivers results and value for money.
7+, 11+, 13+, English & Maths tutor—friendly, experienced, central London-based
I am an approachable and dedicated tutor with experience teaching students at primary and secondary school level. I am passionate about instilling in my students the curiosity and motivation necessary to succeed academically, and believe tutoring is more effective when tailoring one’s approach to each individual. Every student has the capacity for success and, due to my own personal experiences on the other side of the table, I deeply believe in encouragement combined with an appropriate amount of discipline to engender the desire and drive for achievement.
I love my country France and teaching French !
I am a native French speaker from Paris, France. I offer French lessons to students from Key Stage Two to the A-levels and i am familiar with the new curriculum. With 2 years of experience teaching French to children between 7 to 11 years old at two primary schools in London, I see tutoring as the opportunity to also work with students of an older age who are looking to explore French at a more advanced level. I bring a very caring and supportive approach to her lessons. I carefully consider each student's needs and aim to build their confidence in using the language, while ensuring that the student receives all-round support in not only reading and writing, but also speaking and listening. A mother of two children, I tutored my son and my daughter for 11+ mathematics and non-verbal reasoning examinations, resulting in their successful entries to Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School and St Michael's Catholic Grammar School. I also tutor French to my children.
I want you to have a fun and positive experience learning French !! :)
Your goals, your dreams, what you want or need to achieve... My focus is on YOU !! I want to know you so that I can adapt my teaching methods to suit your learning needs in the best possible way. Then we can raise to the challenge as a team working towards your success. The sky is the limit !! 40 years experience and counting... I love teaching with a passion so why would I ever stop. :))) (Online lessons as well as in London zones 1-3 with a £5 charge for zone 3 classes).
Passionate and experienced in helping others get into vet school.
Just finished my 6 year veterinary degree and am looking to teach science and languages. I would be particularly open to sessions specific to applying for veterinary medicine; I have worked in the RVC's admissions department and represent them as a Student Ambassador for 6 years. This has involved interviewing students in the MMIs when they apply to vet school, going to careers fairs, speaking at schools, running open days and working at summer schools for vet students looking to apply to the RVC. I have done extensive work with the outreach team, which involved involving students from diverse backgrounds with the RVC and giving them the application help that herhaps their school was unable to provide. As such, I have extensive insight into the best methods for securing a place, whatever your background. I was offered 3 out of my 4 vet school choices: RVC, Glasgow and Liverpool and also had a Nottingham interview. I have connections at Bristol, Liverpool and Edinburgh vet schools, therefore a good insight into how they compare. I have some time off before starting a job as a vet, so was looking to put my knowledge and experience to use for a few months to help others who were in my position. My mother is french and I am naturally a linguist, therefore am as qualified to teach languages as I am to teach science/ veterinary medicine.
Experienced and qualified native tutor - learn, enjoy, share
Hey ;) Native french from Paris, passionate (French and English literature, music, cinema, entrepreneurship, …) with non-conventional teaching methods. I have been studying a lot in my life and I am convinced the best way to learn is making it fun and I strongly believe the best way to learn is when you are willing about it. My teaching methods are based on my practical experiences and I know how to make people fluent. As a long-time learner, I will tailor sessions and give you all my tips to reach your requirements. I offer french lessons from beginners to advanced learners. STRUCTURE OF THE LESSONS: I build my lessons through a communicative approach maximising the use of the target language. My lessons are usually task-based and centred around practical functions. During each lesson, we will always work on four different skills such as speaking, listening, reading and writing, using a great variety of teaching materials reflecting real-life situations. MY COURSES WILL AIM AT: – Improving your listening and conversation skills – Explaining grammar rules – Introducing new vocabulary using specific learning methods – Enhancing your writing, speaking and listening skills LANGUAGE: I have learnt English, Spanish and I am currently learning Italian and Russian, so I perfectly understand how it feels to learn a new language and the difficulties that one can come across, especially when that language isn't using the same alphabet as your mother tongue. EXPERIENCE: I have taught French to people from Europe, Commonwealth, Russia, Colombia, Iran, Sri Lanka, Maldives, South Africa, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and China, and among them, some were students, teachers, analysts, brokers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, singers, business owners, writers, actors, ambassadors, personal trainers, interior designers, architects, TV and movie producers… I am looking forward to hearing from you :) Sylvain
Passionate and experienced multilingual tutor!
I have 4 years’ experience as a private tutor and now a full-time tutor, as I have been for just over 6 months. I have experience teaching a range of students in terms of age (from 5 to over 60) and level. I have taught English as a Foreign Language, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German and Latin as well as English and Maths (up to 13+) to a total of more than 50 students (including some groups). Many of these students have been learning for exams, such as GCSEs and A-Levels, while some have been casual learners. While flexibility is essential and I try to tailor my approach to each student, I base my tutoring on transmitting my passion and expertise in learning to the student. As a speaker of many languages, I have considerable experience of the language learning process and know-how of language learning techniques. I use this to predict common pitfalls and difficulties for students, and to explain these by breaking them down in simple terms. In this way, the student’s confidence increases and they feel able to reach their targets. While I have high standards, I also believe students will naturally want to learn more if they have fun. I often use cultural materials such as books, films or songs in my lessons so that the student sees the advantages of language learning and so starts to learn proactively and thus improve faster.
Keep calm and get a good tutor. How bout Me? ;)
Hi !! 😁😁 Call me Jo! I am currently an engineering undergraduate at Imperial College London and am passionate to share my love for STEM. Having achieved 4A* and 1A at A level last year, I know exactly what is needed to succeed in the exams. Coming from a franco-Chinese family I also benefit from being trilingual. This took hard work but more importantly ‘smart’ work too and I constantly review my learning methods to ensure they are as efficient in the language learning process as possible. I am currently using it to learn German... so you could join me on the language learning journey! Or go for the more traditional and serious subjects such as math and the sciences. I have had a good deal of teaching experience both online and offline and am keen to engage on Scoodle too! So if you think you’d be interested, don’t hesitate to message me and we can figure it out from there 👌

I also hold ARSM Diplomas with Distinction in Singing and Flute performance, and Grade 8 Piano with distinction. I have experience as a tutor and teaching assistant, having spent my gap year as a teaching assistant for French, Latin and Music in a London prep school, and having run a Spanish club in a local primary school and French revision clinics for younger students whilst still studying at school. I am offering 1 to 1 tutoring for French, Latin and Spanish (up to A Level standard), Ancient Greek (up to GCSE standard), English and Maths (primary school/Common Entrance standard), and music lessons tailored to your needs, whether it is as a beginner or working for a specific exam (up to GCSE). Our sessions will be based around how you want to improve, whether that is grammar, speaking (in the case of French or Spanish), writing, translation, or technique wise (for music). I can also give help with exam technique, revising techniques, and higher education advice. My most recent student has gained the highest grade for Common Entrance Latin at the school he applied to, and I look forward to helping you gain equal success.
Passionate tutor who is ready to teach!
Currently studying at University College London. Strong believer of tailored tutoring - every student learns best differently, and it is my job to help them figure out how and adapt my teaching accordingly. I personally view being a tutor as being similar to a mentor, and hope to work with the student to develop skills that not only allow them to conquer specific academic subjects, but which can prove advantageous in many other areas. Ultimately, I strive to bring out the absolute best in my student.

Dedicated tutor and undergraduate at Goldsmiths, University of London
Studies and exams can be stressful, having just graduated from BSc Computer Science in 2020 - i understand that too. There’s alot of pressure to meet grade boundaries and targets for students - this is where i come in. My job is to use my experience to help you enjoy what you’re learning, whilst you try hard to meet your targets. Knowledge is power and even more so when you like what you learn.
Enthusiastic Maths, Science, and languages Tutor! PhD at UCL
I'm currently pursuing my PhD at University College London (UCL) working in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I'm also an Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate from the American University of Beirut, where I also pursued a minor in Mathematics, as well as a minor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In the previous years I have worked on several projects in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning mainly following the AUB curriculum. From June 2020, I joined RISE in Cyprus and started working with the DARE team working initially as a summer intern and then as a year-round part time intern. In my free time, I like to play the piano, read some books, enjoy some time out, and hang out with my friends. I have been tutoring several different subjects for many different levels for the past 6 years. I have worked as a self-employed tutor for 5 years now. I teach Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for all school levels. I also teach French, Arabic, and English (only as a foreign language). I also teach undergraduate Math, Electronics, and Machine Learning courses. I have also worked at an educational centre teaching situated in the North of Lebanon also teaching the above subjects. My students were usually enrolled in either Lebanese or French Baccalaureate (since students in Lebanon are usually enrolled in either one of these programs). I also once had an IB student. However, I know my material quite well and I'm familiar to the GCSE and A-level programs.
