Experienced tutor and undergraduate at Middlesex University
Hi, I know how hard it can be to put your hand up or ask a teacher for help, the racing of your heart in fear because you think to yourself you’ve definitely got this wrong. Well please do not fear, making mistakes is just one part of a journey to accomplishment. My style of teaching is to first use logic, sometimes the answer is staring right at you, clear your mind, try not to get worked up about 1 question. Talking about the problem gives you 3 views, your own, the other person and the world perspective, this allows thoughts to become questions and to then become your answer of what you believe and what you think. Write your own path, be your kind of person, learn the way you can and pass on your teachings.View Profile

Working towards my doctorate in Biology
I have been a STEM tutor throughout my studies in London over the past seven years, and have taught Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at KS3 through to A-level. I have also run lab-based activities and science practicals for groups of school students, and mentored a number of undergraduate and postgraduate students during my lab research experience. I have always tried to make science as fun as possible and to give students the confidence to reach their full potential. I studied Biology at Imperial College, and later worked on an extremely exciting new tool in Biology called gene drive that may eventually be used to prevent many diseases such as malaria, Dengue, and Zika. I am now pursuing a PhD at the University of Oxford, where I will be working on a similar project to genetically engineer the mosquito that carries Dengue. Through this hands-on research, I have worked at the molecular and cellular level of biology, as well as the broader ecological level, where mathematical modelling is very important. I would love the opportunity to tutor a student that may be struggling with their Maths or science subject, or just wants to get ahead! I hope that you or they will love the subjects as much as I do, or at least give it a chance to see why it's so amazing, and so important for the future!View Profile
Dedicated tutor and undergraduate at University of Birmingham
Hi, I’m Emma and I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Sustainability at the University of Leeds. I studied Environmental Science at undergraduate level, and took A levels in Maths, Biology and Geography with an AS in Physics. I have some experience of teaching Maths GCSE, I am just starting off on this platform so will keep prices low. I am fully competent in Maths, with A* at GCSE in both Maths and Statistics and an A in Further Maths, alongside an A level in it. I would be open to teaching both Geography and Biology also, due to my chosen degree I have good knowledge of these areas and would enable a student to progress well. Furthermore, I passed the 11+ to attend Grammar school so I have the required knowledge to help guide your child through this should it be required. I am also knowledgable about the application process for University, having achieve 5 offers for Russel Group universities and then securing a Masters place, I would be happy to support with this also. My teaching style is very flexible, at the beginning we can discuss your needs and formulate a plan based on timescales, ability and specific areas needing improvement. I am to make lessons enjoyable through tailoring my approach to the individual. Thank you for reading, any questions please feel free to ask!View Profile
