I am passionate about teaching from AS to degree level.
Psychology with Counselling Skills I love to teach Psychology and Counselling Skill. I use my psychology skills to help my students, using mindfulness and due care to positively encourage learning. At the same time a spoonful of fun can help engage the student making learning interesting for my students. I have good knowledge in the mentioned fields and will support my student through the thick and thin of their studies. I have a 2.1 degree, and am also able to relate to students who are dyslexic and can help in providing different approaches to learning. I am also competent in teaching Geography and English. I am dedicated to supporting the people I tutor as I am passionate about the subjects I teach. I understand the pressure of being a student and the pains of trying to reach deadlines. I also empathise when words are hard to put together when trying to get an essay done. From secondary school level to research to literature reviews to dissertation, my aim is to see the student through to graduation. If there is a problem with meeting in person, I can accept doing Skype lessons, which has proved a success with previous students. We found that as we talk about the subject, I can quickly tap in the information or research and immediately email links and literature to help the student. Younger students like this way of learning because they are usually more engaged when at their computer. Best wishes Ruby

Geography has always been a strong point of my academic life, as I have achieved an A* at both GCSE and A-level, and I am now graduating with a BSc in Geography and going on to do a MSc in Climate Change at KCL. I am thus incredibly enthusiastic about Geography and have knowledge on how to learn it, revise it and teach it! I can also help students prepare for their GCSE science and A-level maths and biology exams.
I am passionate and enthusiastic about helping people reach their potential!

PGCE Trained Teacher/Private Tutor for Early Years, KS1 & KS2/7+ Exam Prep
I am a qualified EYFS and KS1 teacher. Having completed my PGCE in Primary Education in 2015, I have been able to teach in two different boroughs. In my first year, I taught in the borough of Richmond where I taught a Reception class. Here, I was able to use my skills to bring my class up to the national expectation at the end of the year. I am aware of the national curriculum expectations within this phase. EYFS differs from the KS1 and KS2 Curriculum as it focuses on 7 areas of learning. Here, it is important to gauge how best the child learns. Opportunities within the EYFS environment allow for the class to become independent learners, and I am able to create creative evironments in order for learning to occur. Here, skills in both English and Maths are embedded. The expection with English is that all students must be able to apply their phonics knowledge in order to form a legible sentence. Through the use of song, art, word games and handwriting practice, curriculum expectations will most certainly be met. This is similar with maths, where practical activities have allowed for critical thinking to take place. In my second year of teaching, I taught a Yr 1 class in Newham. Here, I was able to again bring my class up to the national expectation, with accelerated progress in certain subjects. The KS1 Curriculum picks up from the EYFS Curriculum as it expands on Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar within Years 1 and 2. These are all skills that I have practised with my previous class on a daily basis. Within Year 1 the expectation at the end of the year is to pass the Phonics Screening which all my class were able to do. With maths, the aim is to develop reasoning skills as well mental arithmetic. I tutor Early Year’s, KS1 and KS2. I also have high expectations and believe students need to be taught the skills to become resilient learners.

In my classroom learning environment promotes fun, growth, and a sense of family.

I’m a trilingual Geographer at the University of Oxford looking to help!
I’m a 2nd year student studying geography at Oxford university. I have a very flexible style of teaching, very much tailored to the students’ needs. I’ve tutored at GCSE level, and spent 2 months in a school in Ghana, writing a geography curriculum and then teaching part of it. I have a love of learning that I am very motivated to pass on to students who may be struggling in their work.
Academic coaching and tutoring for namely those that get distracted.
I’m particularly keen in helping students with attentional difficulties, task management issues, restlessness, and other related issues. I want to hammer the notion home, especially to young people, that learning is the most pleasurable thing in the world so long as you properly negotiate your approach to it with your difficulties. I have attention deficit disorder (ADD) myself, and after feeling shattered by not meeting the standards I knew I could achieve (for example, a characteristic ADD symptom is hyper-focus on what you’re interested in: I got 98% in English Literature - something I love - at A-level, but two B’s in philosophy and politics), I sought to do something about it and developed an approach which has worked really nicely (for example, now being able to read three books a week). I am currently doing a BA in Arabic at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and attended King Alfred School in Hampstead where I achieved 6A*s and 3As at GCSE level and A*BB at A level.

Undergraduate at Kings College London - tutor for Geography and Psychology
My name is Hannah I studied both Geography and Psychology for GCSE and A-level I loved them both so much , I found it difficult to choose between them for university! I ended up choosing to study Psychology at Kings College London ( 2nd in the world for my course) , and am currently a first year student there. I have some unofficial teaching experience as I was a student teaching support for GCSE psychology students during my A-levels. I also hosted a debate club in my free time, so I am quite comfortable helping and interacting with students. As I am a newly graduated student, I am able to offer support with the newer specifications and have a fresh memory of student life . Student life can be very stressful at GCSE and A-level ! I aim to be a support for student during this stressful period of their lives, offering help with aspects of the course they find difficult, homework help and exam preparation ! I am most confident in supporting AQA psychology, and EDEXCEL geography as I have the specific resources to best help with these specifications.
