PGCE Trained Teacher/Private Tutor for Early Years, KS1 & KS2/7+ Exam Prep
I am a qualified EYFS and KS1 teacher. Having completed my PGCE in Primary Education in 2015, I have been able to teach in two different boroughs. In my first year, I taught in the borough of Richmond where I taught a Reception class. Here, I was able to use my skills to bring my class up to the national expectation at the end of the year. I am aware of the national curriculum expectations within this phase. EYFS differs from the KS1 and KS2 Curriculum as it focuses on 7 areas of learning. Here, it is important to gauge how best the child learns. Opportunities within the EYFS environment allow for the class to become independent learners, and I am able to create creative evironments in order for learning to occur. Here, skills in both English and Maths are embedded. The expection with English is that all students must be able to apply their phonics knowledge in order to form a legible sentence. Through the use of song, art, word games and handwriting practice, curriculum expectations will most certainly be met. This is similar with maths, where practical activities have allowed for critical thinking to take place. In my second year of teaching, I taught a Yr 1 class in Newham. Here, I was able to again bring my class up to the national expectation, with accelerated progress in certain subjects. The KS1 Curriculum picks up from the EYFS Curriculum as it expands on Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar within Years 1 and 2. These are all skills that I have practised with my previous class on a daily basis. Within Year 1 the expectation at the end of the year is to pass the Phonics Screening which all my class were able to do. With maths, the aim is to develop reasoning skills as well mental arithmetic. I tutor Early Year’s, KS1 and KS2. I also have high expectations and believe students need to be taught the skills to become resilient learners.

Working towards my doctorate in Biology
I have been a STEM tutor throughout my studies in London over the past seven years, and have taught Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at KS3 through to A-level. I have also run lab-based activities and science practicals for groups of school students, and mentored a number of undergraduate and postgraduate students during my lab research experience. I have always tried to make science as fun as possible and to give students the confidence to reach their full potential. I studied Biology at Imperial College, and later worked on an extremely exciting new tool in Biology called gene drive that may eventually be used to prevent many diseases such as malaria, Dengue, and Zika. I am now pursuing a PhD at the University of Oxford, where I will be working on a similar project to genetically engineer the mosquito that carries Dengue. Through this hands-on research, I have worked at the molecular and cellular level of biology, as well as the broader ecological level, where mathematical modelling is very important. I would love the opportunity to tutor a student that may be struggling with their Maths or science subject, or just wants to get ahead! I hope that you or they will love the subjects as much as I do, or at least give it a chance to see why it's so amazing, and so important for the future!

I’d love to help students enjoy studying at home!
Hi, I’m Phoebe! Please send requests directly to my email as I do not have access to Scoodle pro: firstname.lastname@example.org. A little about me: I am currently on my gap year and I am excited to be going to university in September to study English. It is a confusing time and you may feel uncertain about the most effective way to study at home but I can help! If it’s English, we can read through texts and analyse together. Finding film adaptations and audiobooks is always a good way to engage with a novel as well. If it’s Geography, I can help with exam technique as well as the more complicated content. Just let me know what you’re finding tricky, no matter how small!
Enthusiastic tutor by day and UCL medic by night!
Experienced Maths, Science and Medical Application tutor. I have always enjoyed teaching and have years of experience tutoring. I think studying should be fun! Having said that, I hated school growing up. I was always in the bottom set, and had little motivation to improve. But through some great teachers and online tutors in year 11, I turned things around. I went from low predicted grades to smashing my GCSEs, getting 3A* and an A (Maths, Bio, Chem and Spanish) at A-Level and 4 medical school offers!!! Now I want to help others enjoy learning, as I believe that’s the key to success. Whether you just want to pass, improve slightly or massively, I hope I can help!! Thanks, Ben

Undergraduate at Kings College London - tutor for Geography and Psychology
My name is Hannah I studied both Geography and Psychology for GCSE and A-level I loved them both so much , I found it difficult to choose between them for university! I ended up choosing to study Psychology at Kings College London ( 2nd in the world for my course) , and am currently a first year student there. I have some unofficial teaching experience as I was a student teaching support for GCSE psychology students during my A-levels. I also hosted a debate club in my free time, so I am quite comfortable helping and interacting with students. As I am a newly graduated student, I am able to offer support with the newer specifications and have a fresh memory of student life . Student life can be very stressful at GCSE and A-level ! I aim to be a support for student during this stressful period of their lives, offering help with aspects of the course they find difficult, homework help and exam preparation ! I am most confident in supporting AQA psychology, and EDEXCEL geography as I have the specific resources to best help with these specifications.
I can help you with maths, I got a A*/A in GCSE Maths and an A in Further Maths.
Currently a student at Sixth Form studying Maths, Economics and Geography. Notable Information about me: •I’ve got a Grade 8(A/A*) in GCSE •Mathematics and a 7(A) in GCSE Further Mathematics. •I won the UKMT Intermediate Mathematical Challenge 2020 and got the best in my year and school.
Accomplished tutor and undergraduate at Northumbria University at Newcastle
I am a biology graduate from Northumbria University, now studying at The University of Sunderland to gain my Qualified a teacher Status. I take a student-cantered approach, focusing on the topics they need help with the most, working in additional content to support and reinforce this knowledge as well as expand their understanding of the subject, encouraging them to aim higher and achieve their full potential. During my sessions I like to not only address any content the student wishes to cover, but also crucial skills such as exam technique and coursework organisation.

Dedicated tutor and undergraduate at Goldsmiths, University of London
Studies and exams can be stressful, having just graduated from BSc Computer Science in 2020 - i understand that too. There’s alot of pressure to meet grade boundaries and targets for students - this is where i come in. My job is to use my experience to help you enjoy what you’re learning, whilst you try hard to meet your targets. Knowledge is power and even more so when you like what you learn.
