Oxford English Literature Graduate Tutoring GCSE and A Level students in Oxford
Massive history enthusiast who especially enjoys studying military history.
I have been going to military museums since I was very young which constantly fascinated me. I have always studied history in school, however I found the style of teaching in my lessons to be very disengaging, hence my A Level grades. In the past I have studied: the Tudors, Russia from 1853-1945, Germany from 1918-1989, the Cold War, and I interest myself by reading military history from the 18th century to present day. I try to provide friendly lessons which I cater to the student’s needs. I am currently studying Military and International History (BA) at Brunel University London. I am looking to become an officer in the Army after university.
Dedicated tutor and graduate from University College London (UCL)
As a History graduate from UCL, I am very well aware of how to excel academically and revise efficiently and effectively. I am prepared to teach other students from KS3 all the way to A Levels. Having achieved the results I am confident I can help you succeed and fulfil your goals! I’m very happy to help and will work with you to create tailored revision sessions. More importantly, I can tutor History up to undergraduate and help with dissertation too.
Experienced tutor and who is ready to teach!
I am a Student who has specialised in a range of subjects. I have not long finished my GCSE's and understand the struggle that any kind of education may be for a student. I aim to be efficient and patient with future clients as this will encourage their best work and help with future exams and the struggles of life. It is important that students and children are able to get individual attention which is not always applied in schools so I hope to help in the cases where this happens more frequently. I enjoy teaching and assisting students as you get much joy from witnessing their success. From my own experience, I have found that many people learn at different rates and paces so I will make sure all future clients enjoy the benefits of having their own personal journey. The key thing that I always want to encourage is making my sessions as enjoyable as I can because not all children allow themselves their full potential due to them not enjoying the subject - trust me I was one of these students myself. My key specialities include, Performing Arts (Drama and Production), Mathematics/Numeracy, English/Literacy and History.

Versatile tutor and undergraduate at University of Toronto
I have yet to find a particular style, as I have not had much experience yet. But, I put emphasis on the fact that the student be able to recite and learn the material of their own accord with me as their guide rather than as their instructor or drill sergeant.
Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at University of Oxford
I bring three tenants to my tutoring: proficiency, engagement, and dedication. Firstly, students are confident that I know every bit of the material, which is really important in giving them the confidence to ask questions and understand new ideas. Secondly, I constantly engage with my students. I ask them questions, present ideas in relevant examples, and encourage them to problem-solve in detail. Thirdly, I am committed to seeing tangible improvement from my students. That means I'll spend time and patience in communicating critical concepts, whether that means nailing down ideas within lessons, scouting out useful reading, or running overtime, to make sure my students fully learn. Current PPE undergraduate at the University of Oxford. Can give lessons to anyone from GCSE to first-year undergraduate standard, including A-Level and IB. Enjoy teaching any students willing to learn, really good at helping students to 'come out of their shell', that is those that are a bit shy or inexperienced with problem-solving - getting them to analyse and think critically. Format is similar to a tutorial format that one would experience at university.
