Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at The University of Manchester
I have been tutoring for 5 years teaching 1-on-1 and group classes to children and adults in English, History, Religious Studies and ESL. My teaching philosophy is to guide students to solve their academic challenges through enquiry and to build confidence. I teach students techniques to write coherent analytical essays and exam answers. As well as tools to manage the information and stresses associated with academic study. For me, there is no silly question. I help students learn how to study and work towards the grades they want.
Specialist in helping students to get better grades for 15 years
Not all students learn at the same rate and in the same way. For me tuition is about empowering students to learn the topics they need to get better grades, learn new skills, and to use education as a stepping stone to their dreams. My background has been working with students who have been learning outside of traditional environments. Be that online, home schooled, in specialist education, or needing a bit of extra help to make sure they reach their full potential. My own educational background started when my parents decided to sail around the world for my whole childhood. Allowing me to learn about the world, our history, geography and so much more in the places it happened. Once I returned to England I took my degrees, including a Masters in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation and my teaching qualifications.
