Italian native girl tutoring in Italian language
Hello, my name is Maria Elena and I’m an Italian girl living in London. I graduated with a BA Foreign Languages and Cultures from the University of Pavia (Italy). I have been living and working in the UK for a year now in order to improve my English skills and fluency. I am currently studying for a MA Translation (Specialised Translation) at Goldsmiths University in London. I provide Italian tutoring Language Sessions for all levels to people who want to improve fluency, grammar, vocabulary and written/oral production. I can help with homework and preparation for exams. I have been tutoring for GCSES' kids already last year in order for them to pass their exams. I am experienced with both teenagers and young kids (I’ve worked as an aupair before). I’m interested in the teaching of language, especially my own language to foreign people. Should you require any more information, please do not hesitate to contact me! Sincerely, Maria Elena
Enthusiastic FL Tutor, Italian Mother Tongue, living in London for 4 years
Italian Mother Tongue, living in London for 4 years, I am an enthusiastic and devoted Foreign Language Tutor with excellent communication skills. Studying languages at the university helped me to gain the basis, travelling gave me the chance and the joy to be in contact with different cultures and here is how my passion for teaching and interpreting is born. It may seem so hard at the beginning, I still remember the first few weeks when I moved to London and I felt like I never have studied English before. Practice with a native speaker is essential to learn a foreign language... learn having fun is much easier than open a book and read an explanation! Focusing on your chosen subjects and learning needs, I will create personalised thematic lessons and intercultural activities to guide you in an immersive learning journey. Learning a language has never been so exciting!
Passionate and experienced multilingual tutor!
I have 4 years’ experience as a private tutor and now a full-time tutor, as I have been for just over 6 months. I have experience teaching a range of students in terms of age (from 5 to over 60) and level. I have taught English as a Foreign Language, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German and Latin as well as English and Maths (up to 13+) to a total of more than 50 students (including some groups). Many of these students have been learning for exams, such as GCSEs and A-Levels, while some have been casual learners. While flexibility is essential and I try to tailor my approach to each student, I base my tutoring on transmitting my passion and expertise in learning to the student. As a speaker of many languages, I have considerable experience of the language learning process and know-how of language learning techniques. I use this to predict common pitfalls and difficulties for students, and to explain these by breaking them down in simple terms. In this way, the student’s confidence increases and they feel able to reach their targets. While I have high standards, I also believe students will naturally want to learn more if they have fun. I often use cultural materials such as books, films or songs in my lessons so that the student sees the advantages of language learning and so starts to learn proactively and thus improve faster.
Ciao, my name is Maria and I come from Italy. I have always been passionate about foreign languages and I have got a Diploma specialising in English, French and German and several International Certifications like IELTS, FCE, DELF and TEFL in progress. I love helping people meet their goals!
I've been an English tutor for professionals in Milan, for children and adults in the UK for many years, have run creative writing groups online and in person and also worked with individuals with learning differences who need more than the traditional school setting can provide. I always seek to first understand a learner's needs and learning style, then tailor the sessions and homework to help them achieve their goals. I do believe learning should be both effective and enjoyable, and personally love seeing the "lightbulb" moments in a student's journey.
