Online Japanese Tutors
Elizabeth Hay
Online lessonsSavvy tutor and undergraduate at University of Hertfordshire
I discovered my passion for English Language Teaching during a volunteer year abroad teaching English in Japan with the charity Project Trust. I wanted to continue to improve my knowledge and skills, so I completed a degree in English Language and Communication with Japanese, from which I received a first degree honours. I have always been passionate about English literature, which is why I took an A-level in the subject and continued to read and improve my understanding of the subject as part of the linguistic analysis portions of my modules during my degree in English. As a knowledgeable and enthusiastic person with experience encouraging students outside the classroom to meet academic challenges and study for exams, helping students excel will be my privilege. Evaluating the learning ability and needs of students, assisting them through tasks, and recommending new learning strategies are only a few of the areas I excel in. By teaching English as a Foreign language, I have honed my communication, creativity, and motivational skills. As I taught many different age-groups and skill sets and effectively kept track of my student's needs and development, I have developed strong administrative skills with a demonstrated capacity to record, monitor, and update student progress. I am well prepared to devote myself to the highest tutoring standards at MyTutor and to exceed your expectations for this role. Thank you for your consideration.

I moved to the UK when I was 16, so I am fluent in both Japanese and English. I obtained A for Japanese A level, and I assisted Japanese classes held in my college. I am friendly and can teach both conversational and written form of Japanese which could be very different.
Jessica Ball
Online lessonsFriendly and patient teacher who is passionate about teaching 11+, Biology etc!
11+, Biology, Maths and Japanese language teacher. Experienced English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and Dance Teacher. Bilingual in English and Japanese. Achieved an A* for GCSE Japanese (short course). Familiar with the WJEC A-Level Human Biology and GCSE Core and Additional Science syllabi as I studied them. Studied Mathematics up to GCSE level, therefore I can teach up to GCSE level maths. Also, I took the 11+ examination myself and passed, meaning I feel confident in teaching this too. I am very patient and I always ensure the lessons are as beneficial and enjoyable as possible! My teaching method involves using lots of repetition and asking questions to ensure the student has clearly understood the material. I will always ask if the student has any questions.
Sohini Khan
Online lessonsA supportive and engaging tutor with an aim for success
Hi! My name is Sohini, a friendly and helpful tutor currently studying Maths at the LSE because of how much I love the subject and teaching it, so I would say that I major in Maths. Nevertheless, I have always enjoyed learning and teaching languages to others, in particular Spanish, French and Bengali. To quickly describe myself, I am 21-years old and have worked as a tutor for approximately 5 years now. From my experiences, I have picked up new and creative ways to make education as enjoyable and enlightening as possible. For a short time, I did also work as a fundraiser for multiple charities which enhanced my optimism and made me more confident with my abilities. In short, I don't give up. I consistently try to improve the development of my students so that they are satisfied with their quality of education and level of confidence. I have experience working at homes, schools and tutoring centres, and I have mostly worked with those aged between 5 and 17, both while employed and while volunteering. However, I have never limited myself to a particular age when it comes to taking students - learning is for all ages! Finally, I am flexible, both in time and lesson rate, and quick to respond to messages for lessons so feel free to message me, even if you don't see the time slot you want. Last updated: 24/07/18
