Hi! I'm a 3rd year medical student at Cambridge, and can show you how I got here
Hi there! I'm Anthony and I'm a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I am happy to help you in maths, further maths, biology, chemistry and physics up to A level, with first hand experience in the linear qualifications. I also have a few strategies in place to help you get those top marks, having gained straight A*s across all my subjects at both GCSE and A level. Whether it is getting to grips with the core concepts or improving exam technique to get those tricky marks, I can help you achieve the grade that you want to. If you are looking to stretch yourself further, I participated in all the maths and science olympiad competitions in secondary school, and represented the UK in the International Chemistry Olympiad, so am happy to go through olympiad material to help you stand out from the crowd. In addition, I know just how stressful it can be when applying to medical school, and can help you with preparation for the UKCAT/BMAT entrance exams and with writing that all important personal statement. I also have a wealth of resources to help you with interview practice, be it for panel, MMI or Oxbridge-style interviews. In addition to Cambridge, I received offers from UCL, Imperial and Queen Mary's, so if you are thinking of those universities especially, feel free to ask me about my own personal experience. If you have any more questions, please get in touch :)
Passionate tutor and undergraduate at Imperial College London
Hello Reader! I'm a 23 year-old Physics graduate from Imperial College London with 500+ hours of experience teaching secondary school Maths and Physics. Having recently(ish!) been at school myself i’m well aware of the challenges students typically face both in learning new material and writing exams, both of which are vital but very different skills. My teaching style is open and relaxed with the aim of creating an atmosphere where no question is seen as too silly or trivial. From my own experiences at school and when tutoring, I believe that this is one of the biggest mental hurdles students face when learning, especially in a large classroom environment, so i place great emphasis on tackling this early on. My teaching methods are obviously flexible depending on the individual and have recently been adapted to suit a purely online learning format given the current global health situation. That being said i have found that at good first step to take when starting with a new student is to work through a syllabus topic, identifying and resolving misconceptions the student has whilst providing motivation for why the student is learning the material in the first place. Schools and exam boards are often lapse, particularly with more abstract concepts in Maths and Physics, in providing practical examples of how the content students learn is used in real life! Once we’ve worked through a course topic we re-enforce what’s been learnt with past exam questions, which also serves to aid and assist exam technique and maximising grades. During this strange period i hope to be able to put your son’s/daughter’s time to good use.Though obviously brought about in unfortunate circumstances, this time is a unique opportunity to polish and clear up topics your son/daughter struggled with in school, putting them in the best possible position for when they return. I hope to hear from you soon! Ben
GCSE English and Maths and A Level psychology Tutor
Private Tutor studying Medicine at University of Birmingham I teach GCSE English and Maths across all the exam boards specific to each specification. I also teach A Level Psychology, UCAS statement checks and Medicine Interview Practice. I deliver the classes on a friendlier approach, which I find is more effective, making the student more motivated to learn. Especially as the first year going through the new 9-1 specification, I understand the struggle of trying to get everything done in a short space of time but with over 3 years of weekly teaching, I have gained the skills suited for this role.

I want to help you understand maths, and how it isn't as scary as it may seem!
I struggled with maths at A level, until I got a tutor myself. It took the pressure away of trying to figure things out by myself. I then went to uni with the skills to succeed on my own. I've interned in several school, primary, secondary and A level, helping in all levels of maths. I would be training to teach next year, but a PhD opportunity opened up. Please, let me help you! I love maths, it's wonderful. You don't have to love it, but I'd like to help you understand!
