I’m passionate about teaching drums and guitar. Looking for beginner students!
Hello! My name is Lee, I’m 33, and have been a rock and pop musician since 1998. I’ve have played guitar and drums in different bands, as well as my own projects, for nearly as long. Examples of my playing can be found on Soundcloud and Spotify. https://m.soundcloud.com/user-215206218 Spotify: Torque Armada (Parental Guidance is advised). I am also an experienced Teaching Assistant (SEN and Mainstream) of over two years. References and copies of my DBS Certificates are available. Now why am I here? Well, I’m looking for new students/budding musicians (adults and children) in the South-West London and Surrey areas for lessons (hour and half hour). In other words, I want to pass down my years of experience to you! My location is Surbiton, Surrey, but travel isn‘t a problem. I'm also flexible with schedules, so we can make each lesson work around you. And my rates are competitive (prices on request). So, if you or your child wants to learn rock and pop guitar and drums, then I'm here to work with you/them from the ground up. We'll start from the beginning and, step by step, turn that budding beginner into a promising musician. Sound good? If it does, and you think I'm the teacher who can help you or your child, then please get in touch and we’ll arrange that first lesson ASAP. Thanks!

1st year Cambridge student offering tutoring online
I am currently a student at Trinity College, Cambridge, reading Modern and Medieval Languages (French and Spanish). In 2019, I passed my A Levels with 3A*s in French, Latin, and Spanish, and I have 12 GCSEs (9A* and 3A). I also hold ARSM Diplomas with Distinction in Singing and Flute performance, and Grade 8 Piano with distinction. I have experience as a tutor and teaching assistant, having spent my gap year as a teaching assistant for French, Latin and Music in a London prep school, and having run a Spanish club in a local primary school and French revision clinics for younger students whilst still studying at school. I am offering 1 to 1 tutoring for French, Latin and Spanish (up to A Level standard), Ancient Greek (up to GCSE standard), English and Maths (primary school/Common Entrance standard), and music lessons tailored to your needs, whether it is as a beginner or working for a specific exam (up to GCSE). Our sessions will be based around how you want to improve, whether that is grammar, speaking (in the case of French or Spanish), writing, translation, or technique wise (for music). I can also give help with exam technique, revising techniques, and higher education advice. My most recent student has gained the highest grade for Common Entrance Latin at the school he applied to, and I look forward to helping you gain equal success.
Passionate tutor and undergraduate at Middlesex University
Hello future student, My name is Tsvetelin I dedicated my life to music and studied jazz piano at Middlesex University with some of the best players in the UK. (Nikki Iles, Gareth Williams, Chris Batchelor, Rob Townsend, Kate Williams & Stuart Hall) I started playing the piano when I was 7 and studied Gadulka for almost 2 years as well. My passion for music was influenced by my family who are also professional artists. The creative energy in my art has always been balanced between Jazz, contemporary music and Balkan music. I had the chance to meet some of the best musicians in Bulgaria from both genres and benefit from their lessons. The main focus of my lessons has always been to provide a quality service tailored to the individual; this way it is not only productive but also fun for the student. I can prepare you for exams as well. People from different age groups are welcome. * Unfortunately I can't put it on my profile but there is a £5 charge for vising.

Friendly, relaxed pro musician teaching drums & percussion
Drum teacher: Jazz, Latin, Funk, Rock, Orchestral *Teaching Skype lessons at a reduced rate!* *Lots of availability Thursdays & Fridays during the day as of March 2020 *Teaching peripatetic drums and percussion in two schools in Knightsbridge and Hackney I have a 2:1 Bmus in Performance & Production from LCCM. The skills I have learned from my degree are as follows: -I am a competent reader, able to sight read music for musical theatre, jazz and latin arrangements -I have an in depth knowledge of a wide range of styles: Jazz, Latin, Funk, Orchestral, Rock, German oompah music! -I gig regularly, in all of the styles above, I am often called at short notice to dep gigs when the main drummer can't make it. -My ears have improved greatly by going to jazz jams, attending lots of gigs, seeing how the pros do it! -My university was more like an academy, meaning it was 95% practical, in my final year I was in every day 9am-9pm, rehearsing or doing individual practice, the improvement in my playing would not have been equalled had I done a more academic degree. -My ability to work in a team and just communicate with other people has greatly improved. In my final year I was asked by a lot of my peers to play for their recitals, I was overwhelmed with work but managed to pull through, and as a result I have created a good reputation for myself and a long list of musical contacts, something very valuable. -I have grade 5 music theory, putting it to practical use by writing music for string quartet, jazz combos and salsa bands. I have also created backing tracks for my own original music. -Using electronic sounds within a normal acoustic set-up is something i do regularly now. I often have a metronome in my ears on live gigs, and have to play specific electronic sounds in time through a Roland SPDSX, this gives me the ability to replicate specific sounds from studio versions of tracks. I come from a family where music is extremely important. At school, my first band was a rock covers band where my brother played bass. We played regularly in pubs in Dorset, (you may have heard of the Teddy Rocks festival, we played in the very first festival and have played with my band Last Resort ever since). My first teacher was keen for me to learn how to read music, meaning I could play in school orchestras for musicals. I have 2 Grade 8 distinctions, one from Rockshool and one from Trinity Guildhall, I did the rockschool one first and then thought it best to add the Trinity one! The rock band i was in still plays, we have an EP online and continue to write original music. Having just finished uni, I am keen to start my musical career ASAP, I want to stay in London, because it has the best music scene in Europe!! My teaching has reading and listening at it's heart. The best thing I have done since coming to London is open my ears to all the styles I didn't like, listen over and over, until they started to grow on me! Music is a cultural and historical lesson as well, it's interesting to see where the popular styles of today came from! Reading will just make you more employable as all the session, musical theatre and holiday camp drummers will tell you! I use software such as Noteflight which allows me to playback scores, making sight reading an easier and more enjoyable process, and meaning I can share scores with students via email. Each student is also given a video recording of what we studied in the lesson, which is a very valuable resource, something they can take away from each lesson, and makes remembering what we learned much easier! I look forward to answering any queries you may have and hope to teach you very soon!
