Hello there! If you have made it to my profile it means you must be interested in learning to play the drums, either as an absolute beginner or looking to further you existing knowledge of the instrument. I have been playing drums for 12 years. Since picking up the sticks for the first time aged just 10 (NOW AGED 22), I have been progressing through the ranks to where I have now established myself as a professional musician. I weaved through the London scene working with many bands and artists in and out of the rock genre but have extensively studied and played a wide range of genres including Jazz, Funk, Reggae, RnB/Soul, Latin and Pop at uni. I have worked with different bands, artists and projects in London including being the backbone for a whirling savagery of riffs in The Sun Never Set, providing the pulse to the anarchy in punk band The Dynamite Club (Which we have just completed a huge 22 song project which will span the next 2 years of releases). I am trying to make my mark in session work. Most notably I was recruited for a 20 date tour with New Zealand hardcore band Lookin' Up across eastern and central Europe, performing in venues big and small to varying sized crowds. Also later this year I will be touring for London Melo-Death band Karybdis and Post-Hardcore unit High Rise. I began at school with weekly one to one lessons from Chilean session drummer Andres Ticino where he rapidly increased the speed at which I knocked down the RockSchool syllabus. Graduating from GCSE level to an Extended Diploma at college level, and finally, being excepted into and graduating from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, I had 3 years of lectures with the industry's best and busiest. I took a course in the final year dedicated to learning about music pedagogy, since then I have been honing in my teaching techniques and have been renowned for my fun yet attentive approach to lessons. Teaching was always going to be the route I wanted to take since my secondary school days. I was truly inspired by my first teacher, Andres and all of my teachers from the ICMP and so many of my peers. So whether its learning to a disciplined structure, how to be in a band or learning your favourite songs, I will strive to be exactly what you want from a drum teacher. I will always try to pinpoint what it is that makes a personalised lesson, from the youngest of learners to drummers already with a few years under their belt, no 2 learners are the same, so what are you waiting for!
