As a medical student in my 4th year of study at King's College London; educating the youth and inspiring others are qualities I have aspired to master throughout my time at university. Whether it be private tutoring or enhancing my younger siblings' academic performance in their GCSEs, the satisfaction I gain from educating and helping people is next to none. In pursuit of my passion for education, in 2015 I founded a development centre 'Aspiring Minds'. Our primary ethos builds upon creating the well-rounded individual, by equipping GCSE students with vital career and life skills alongside support in English, Maths and Science. Education will change your life. Your education will change the world. A perpetually curious Physics and Maths tutor (with a side of Philosophy)!
I am just about to start my fourth year at university, studying for an MSci in Physics. It's wondetful to be able to study something so varied and yet fundamental - but that doesn't mean it isn't hard! Maths underpins everything in Physics, and as someone who hasn't always found Maths easy, I understand why people trip up. I also know from experience what you can achieve if you perservere! I would be delighted to support your journey through Physics and Maths, and help you achieve the grades you want.
Enthusiastic piano, philosophy and psychology tutor
Being a keen music enthusiast and having had the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments, my role as a piano teacher is something I thoroughly enjoy. Having played the piano for 14 years (classically trained with 1 year experience in jazz) and teaching according to the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) for 1 year, I adopt an idiographic teaching method in an attempt to best accommodate all learning styles for all ages. As such, the foundation of lessons can range from traditional to more contemporary and creative formats, all of which are dependent on what`s most efficient, enjoyable and pragmatic for each pupil when learning both the practical and theoretical elements of music. Taking a committed and dedicated approach, my ultimate goal is to ensure each pupil is provided with the necessary tools and knowledge-base to progress with the piano whilst simultaneously taking a growing interest and positive attitude towards learning. I also teach Philosophy and Ethics (WJEC board) as well as Psychology (AQA board), two subjects I feel passionately about and thoroughly enjoyed learning for my A-levels. Like piano, I take a very similar teaching method, adapting lesson formats to best accommodate the needs of each pupil, whilst ensuing each student is provided with the appropriate equipment allowing them to apply their knowledge to a variety of real-world scenarios and current global affairs.
6+ years experience of tutoring Maths and Science to all ages 🚀
I have taught all age ranges from very young students who've fallen behind in class and need their confidence back, up to adult learners needing help with logic and maths courses in their computer science degrees. I have a lot of experience teaching IGCSE maths and science to South Korean students on Skype so am very comfortable doing online lessons if that is your preference. Otherwise if you prefer old fashioned face to face I look forward to trying your collection of tea! ☕ I try to be as approachable and encouraging as possible to all my students, whilst ensuring lessons are taught in a style that they engage best with. Whether that is; going into more detail than the syllabus and encouraging a more well rounded education, coming up with games to encourage younger learners, or making the subject more relevant to their experiences. Rates vary depending on level and length of lessons. Physics - up to A level Maths - up to A level (depending on modules) Biology/Chemistry - up to GCSE Philosophy - up to A level

I thrive in communicating with students, able to build connections and share knowledge easily. I pride myself in being able to connect with younger students and have the ability to get along with anyone. This makes it easier for your son/daughter to learn.
