Humanities tutor with experience helping students with dyslexia.
I've always been passionate about education and learning, even though I struggled a lot in school. I was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, but with the support of my teachers and tutors (and a bit of hard work!) I managed to get ten GCSE at A*-B and three A levels at A*AA. I went on to study Philosophy and Politics and Queen's University Belfast. My dyslexia means that I work in new and innovative ways and always rise to a challenge. It means that I am understanding to those students who are struggling, as I've been through it and still go though it a lot. Having said that, being dyslexic has lots of positives, such as making me more creative, so I wouldn't change it for the world! At school and beyond I've developed fantastic skills in essay writing and information retention and 'coping mechanisms' to manage my dyslexia. I'm very excited to share what I have learned with you!
