Fun and friendly Science and Maths tutor
Hi there, I'm a second year medical student at University College London. I really enjoy sciences and languages and I work hard to convey my passion and interest in these subjects to my students. I am very friendly and tutoring my little sister through her GCSEs has really helped develop my patience! Having done the IB, I can offer specific advice for things like university applications and coursework as well as general advice on the medicine application process (including admissions tests, personal statements etc). Finally I enjoy music as well and have played the violin for 9 years and the piano for 6 (achieving grade 8 and 5 in both respectively).View Profile
The only thing bigger than my passion for Physics and Maths, is my passion to make them both understandable and accessible to everybody. Learning with me, I will try to strip back the content to help you understand everything from the ground up and challenge that understanding to help cement your knowledgeView Profile
Experienced and passionate tutor, and recent PhD recipient
I am a dedicated tutor with hundreds of hours of experience in physics and maths tuition. I also have a PhD in Mathematical/Theoretical Physics, as well as an MSc Theoretical Physics (Distinction) and an MSci Physics (1st Class) - in both I was awarded prizes for graduating top of my year. As well as an excellent academic record, I have always prided myself on strong communication skills, which I believe are crucial to science generally, and particularly to education. I have significant experience of working with people of all ages, both within science and wider afield such as in numerous musical projects. Throughout my time in academia I enjoyed explaining my work and other scientific ideas in a number of settings, to academics, students and members of the public, and I have built upon these skills in my tutoring life and consider myself a thorough and creative teacher. Having first-hand experience of modern scientific research puts me in a unique position to tutor as my understanding of physics and mathematics is very broad and deep, and I love working closely with students and helping them develop their own path in these fascinating but often difficult subjects. My students enjoy the enthusiastic and interactive nature of my teaching style, as well as the knowledge and expertise I bring from my time in academia. I believe that all students have the potential to not only succeed academically, but also come to really enjoy maths and physics, and have their lives enriched by an appreciation of the role science plays in the world around us. It is my job to assist in that journey by tailoring tuition to each student`s individual needs, and I believe that exam success (and much enjoyment!) follows from a proper and deep understanding of the subjects.View Profile
Hello everyone! I'm Francesca, 26 years old Italian student. I live in Brighton and I'm graduated in Automative engineering at "Politecnico di Milano". I can offer my knowledge in scientific field to anyone who needs. My subjects are: Maths (calculus and geometry), physics ( mechanic and dynamic), fluid dynamic, automatic controls, robotics, digital control system. In October I'll attend a master in UK in electronic engineering and biomedical engineering. Before starting the university, my high school was in classical subjects with languages. For this reason, I'm also available if someone wants to learn Italian or needs some help in literature. As far as my free time is concerned, I'm really into reading, hiking, playing piano, writing poems and sports. I'm also interested in art because, although it may seem something really different from science, these two fields have a lot of things in common! Currently, I'm teaching at GCSE 1-9 level and A-level. I've been tutoring for two years both in Italy and England. If you need any references or more information, please don't hesitate to ask me. Hope I can help!View Profile
Second year Imperial Computing student, with previous teaching experience.
I’ve previously tutored struggling Key Stage 3 maths students, and aided in the teaching of GCSE computer science to a set of year 10s over a course of a school year. I aim to motivate my tutees to study, ensure they are confident with the current material and then stretch their abilities.View Profile
