Experienced and passionate tutor, and recent PhD recipient
I am a dedicated tutor with hundreds of hours of experience in physics and maths tuition. I also have a PhD in Mathematical/Theoretical Physics, as well as an MSc Theoretical Physics (Distinction) and an MSci Physics (1st Class) - in both I was awarded prizes for graduating top of my year. As well as an excellent academic record, I have always prided myself on strong communication skills, which I believe are crucial to science generally, and particularly to education. I have significant experience of working with people of all ages, both within science and wider afield such as in numerous musical projects. Throughout my time in academia I enjoyed explaining my work and other scientific ideas in a number of settings, to academics, students and members of the public, and I have built upon these skills in my tutoring life and consider myself a thorough and creative teacher. Having first-hand experience of modern scientific research puts me in a unique position to tutor as my understanding of physics and mathematics is very broad and deep, and I love working closely with students and helping them develop their own path in these fascinating but often difficult subjects. My students enjoy the enthusiastic and interactive nature of my teaching style, as well as the knowledge and expertise I bring from my time in academia. I believe that all students have the potential to not only succeed academically, but also come to really enjoy maths and physics, and have their lives enriched by an appreciation of the role science plays in the world around us. It is my job to assist in that journey by tailoring tuition to each student`s individual needs, and I believe that exam success (and much enjoyment!) follows from a proper and deep understanding of the subjects.

Skilled tutor and undergraduate at UCL
Hello, my name is Lavan and I am currently an undergraduate studying for a Masters (MSci) in Chemistry at University College London (UCL). I have over three years of teaching experience, where I have taught both classes (of sizes up to 12 students) and individual lessons. The students that I have taught primarily have been between the ages of 14 – 19 i.e. GCSE – A Level, however I have had a few students who needed help with exams for their degrees in Chemistry and Medicine in addition to entrance exams for schools. My methods of teaching vary from student to student as I cater towards their individual styles of learning. That being said, the one thing I do emphasise to all my students is that understanding the topics is much more important than just to solely memorise something. This is achieved by starting from the very basics and building from there, whilst simultaneously giving them structured methods which make it easy to remember crucial things from each topic. A typical lesson would be as follows: ● We start by going through any doubts from the homework that was set from the previous lesson. ● This is followed by teaching the next topic (new content) – emphasising key points that are highlighted on the specification. ● Next, we work through questions from various textbooks. To begin with, there would be guidance for each question and by the end of the lesson my students will attempt the question with minimal help from me. ● Finally, we go through any remaining doubts that have arisen throughout the lesson or any problems that need to be clarified from their school or university. Closer towards the exams my efforts would be focused towards two crucial skills. The first being exam technique and the second being timing. The approach I take for this is by going through multiple past papers and mock tests. This helps me to understand where my students need to improve and thus where to focus my attention for the upcoming lessons. In addition to this, I give my students tips and tricks that I have developed over my time as a student. I love teaching and especially teaching the sciences, so let me help your child truly excel in their subjects.

Seasoned tutor and who is ready to teach!
I am currently in year 13 at Beaumont School studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Economics and an EPQ. In addition to always performing highly and being predicted an A* in each, I find great joy in passing on know-how and problem solving skills as I have usually found these to be more universal than first thought.
I’m passionate about teaching Maths and Science! Message me for help!
My name is Adam Cass, I’m 24, have a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Sussex and have been tutoring on and off for 5 years and teaching full time for 1 year now. I think a huge part of a student doing well in their education is enjoying what they learn. In all my lessons at school I try and bring passion and enthusiasm to everything I teach because of my love for mathematics and the sciences as well as the motivation to help people succeed. I am available to help students prepare for their exams whilst the schools are shut. Based in London. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Thank you.
I'm ready to teach match and sciences to anyone willing!

I’m a science PhD student at Cambridge committed to helping your academic goals
Hi I'm Tessa! I'm currently studying for my PhD at Cambridge in an interdisciplinary biosciences programme. I previously completed my undergrad at UCL in Natural Sciences, specialising in Physics and Molecular and Cell Biology for which I got a First. I know firsthand how difficult science subjects can be to master, but I am really passionate about teaching these subjects and sharing my interest. I hope to help you achieve your goals and enjoy learning as much as possible along the way. Having been through the applications process a few times myself, I am also keen to share how to successfully write a personal statement and prepare for interviews. I came from an international school with a very low Oxbridge acceptance rate, but there are definitely common factors that you can incorporate into your application to put your best foot forward at such competitive universities. I also studied Higher Level English Literature in the IB programme in school, and continue studying literature as a hobby to this day. I taught students aged 4-16 English as a second language at a private tutoring centre in Hong Kong. This allowed me to gain a lot of experience with a wide range of ages and has taught me how to change my methods and explanations to best suit the student in any situation. I have been a tutor in the UK for over three years, and have experience in both online tutoring and in person.
A* further maths tutor available for lessons or help with assignments.
Hello, I'm Andres! I am a 2020 sixth form graduate with a strong passion for maths and sciences wanting to help all kinds of students improve their abilities in these subjects and thus getting better grades. * Experience: I have been a tutor since 2018. I have taught a range of students, from primary school all the way to year 13 and gap year students. I offer lessons for maths, physics and computer science for all levels and I am also available for online tuition. * Teaching style: I base my lessons on doing past papers or questions from recommended sources so that students learn exactly what is required to maximise their marks in the exam. I also put emphasis on ensuring the student truly understands all the concepts behind each answer so that they don't feel like they memorising and regurgitating.
