Imperial College Mechanical Engineering Student - enthusiastic and motivating!
Hi there! I am John and am a Final Year Mechanical Engineer at Imperial College London with over 100 hours online tutoring experience. As my course choice and profile shows, I am surrounded every day by Maths and Physics, and love to patiently help others understand and hopefully share my passion! Having studied these subjects at school not too long ago, I can bring a fresh, friendly and relatable atmosphere to the students and make each session feel constructive and enjoyable. During my sessions, I love to use visual analogies to cement an understanding for the student and feel it will be much more memorable than learning from a book. Firstly, I may start with the topics the students find especially challenging before giving appropriately weighted work for the student to be perfectly comfortable when exam times comes around! Having practiced using many past papers during my own studies, I am able to set students questions that run very closely in line with questions they will be asked in the exam.View Profile
I love learning - it's as simple as that! 🤓
I have always possessed a tremendous thirst for knowledge, and am passionate in my pursuit of it. I believe there are always new fields of study to explore and ideas to engage one`s imagination - I suppose one could say that I simply love learning. I believe it is of the utmost importance that the student tries to understand the mathematical ideas and/or physical concepts behind the topics they are studying - to picture the problem or situation in one`s imagination often helps one appreciate what one is trying to accomplish, and gives one a much better understanding of what is involved in solving problems and achieving success. This approach of getting inside a subject has stood me in good stead throughout my academic career, and still forms the cornerstone of my continued quest for facts to fire my imagination.View Profile
The only thing bigger than my passion for Physics and Maths, is my passion to make them both understandable and accessible to everybody. Learning with me, I will try to strip back the content to help you understand everything from the ground up and challenge that understanding to help cement your knowledgeView Profile
Accomplished tutor and undergraduate at University of Cambridge
Hey! I’m a second year medical student at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. Having gone through the U.K. school system, I know how challenging it can be to achieve the top grades consistently across a range of subjects. My experience has resulted in a vast array of tips and techniques which I’m more than willing to share with anyone who I come into contact with. Hopefully with a bit of help and hard work you can also achieve your academic dreams with ease!View Profile
Second year Imperial Computing student, with previous teaching experience.
I’ve previously tutored struggling Key Stage 3 maths students, and aided in the teaching of GCSE computer science to a set of year 10s over a course of a school year. I aim to motivate my tutees to study, ensure they are confident with the current material and then stretch their abilities.View Profile
Tutor with 7 years educational experience and degree in Physics
I am a current physics undergraduate at Sussex University achieving a high first, with especially high marks in Maths. I have been a teacher and educator for the past 7 years, teaching everything from Maths to Religious Studies. My background is also in Youth Work, so I approach tutoring in a unique, fun style working collaboratively with students to find the best way for them to learn. I am available both online and in person in the Brighton area. Online I use an interactive drawing pad to make lessons just as engaging as in person. Once we’ve had an initial consultation I will come up with a comprehensive long term plan to help students achieve their goals. Each lesson is carefully planned to maximise impact, I will also set small homework tasks to ensure that knowledge is retained and built upon over time. I love teaching, especially Maths and Physics. My number one priority is to make each lesson an engaging experience that has lasting positive impact. I always want to hear feedback on how I can achieve that better and will do everything I can to tailor each tutoring experience to every individual student to make sure that happens.
