Studied at Ampleforth College, boarding school in North Yorkshire. I spent my 5 years there as a Maths Tutor to my peers and those younger than me, and then proceed to take the role of Deputy head of house in my final year. This experience has made me adept at interacting with and communicating clearly to those whom I teach. I have experience with AQA, Edexcel, iGCSE and OCR examination boards. I am currently coming to the end of a gap year, 5 months of which I spent travelling the U.S west to east coast. In a couple weeks I shall commence at Kings College London to study philosophy. Having only 7 hours of contact time, I want to simultaneously better the learning of children and give the same educational aide I was so lucky to have; whilst keeping myself fed. I know exactly what it takes to get a head start in the subjects I tutor. GCSE results: -4 a*s -7 a's A-Level results: -Economics-A -Government and Politics-A -Math-A

Very passionate about English Literature and Politics and current Law student.
Firm believer in inexpensive tutoring. Achieved an A in A-Level English Literature and American Politics. During my time at sixth form, I gained 2 years experience in tutoring English Literature. I worked with both students and teachers in order to build up my experience and make sure that I was as knowledgeable as possible when it came to examinations. I know that there are students that are not comfortable with video chat; ask me how I can still help you! :)
Experienced UCAS advisor and A Level tutor
A dedicated, experienced and creative tutor. I'm currently an HR prifessional with a background in mainstream education and social enterprises. I completed a BSc in Politics and Philosophy at the London School of Economics. Tutoring Experience: I've been tutoring GCSE and A levels in Maths and Government and Politics respectively since 2008 one to one. Having worked as a Graduate Achievement Coach at Bethnal Green Academy for two years, I helped students prepare for GCSE maths examinations,Sixth Form students apply to university and coach young people to make informed decisions about their future. In 2014/15 I also tutored two International Relations undergraduate students from Queen Mary University (University of London) My previous tutee from First Tutors took AS Religious Studies as an additional subject outside of her school curriculum. She achieved an A grade having only studied with me for 2 hours a week over 4-5 months. My students have consistently performed in their examinations and benefited overall academically from my interaction with them. Tutoring Approach: I'm also experienced in helping my students develop key study skills and unlock their potential by focusing on also developing their motivation and key skills such as time management and effective planning. I believe that the best way to develop a student's academic skills is to empower them rather then make them dependent on tuition, thus I strive to help them help themselves, by teaching them key skills that will be useful throughout their academic career as well as providing support in the desired subject area.

Manchester based Law student offering tutoring for all core LLB modules
I have over six years of study and work experience in law. I am currently a final year law student at Lancaster University, on track to achieve a high 2.1 or first class degree. I have achieved several 100% marks during my time at university and believe that I can help other law students achieve this too. I have, also, garnered some teaching experience by providing private tutelage during my undergraduate and as a peer mentor. I am a resourceful and highly qualified individual with varied experience acquired during pro bono work and internships, undertaken in tandem with studies. I am articulate with excellent interpersonal abilities, communicates effectively, and is skilled in coherent and intelligible writing. I am a high-achiever, with advanced research and analytical skills combined with excellent problem-solving skill. I adopt two approaches to teaching: ‘student-centred’, ‘high-tech’ approach. These approaches aim to aid a personalised, research-based, inquiry-based learning to accentuate understanding of the materials taught. My goal is to coach and facilitate learning, overall comprehension of material and skills in answering questions utilising proven tools. For instance, the use of online research databases (Westlaw, Lexis Library, Nexis, Practical Law, HeinOnline and EBSCO), employing IRAC (Issues, Relevant Law, Application and Conclusion) structure in answering legal problem questions and so on. I am able to measure your learning progress through both formal and informal forms of assessment, like projects and study portfolio, give you feedback and work further on problem areas.
Resourceful tutor and undergraduate at University of Surrey
A passionate and experienced tutor in humanities and social sciences. Ambassador of Widening Participation and admissions tutor. Fluent in 5 languages and UCAS and University mentor.
A passionate and experienced individual with a genuine love of learning!
I have 6 months experience tutoring in a local secondary school, and look forward to sharing my passion for learning to my students! I have just finished my first year at Oxford University, where I achieved a first overall. My techniques focus on encouraging students to really engage with what they're learning, through having discussions and answering questions. For A Level, the key to succeeding is not simply memorizing your textbooks, but exercising your analytical and critical thinking to go beyond what the syllabus teaches you. I know that many people struggle with learning techniques, and I emphasise active recall to all my students as a scientifically proven method for retaining knowledge. Having studied at Oxford for a year so far, I have gained a number of skills from its unique tutorial system, and hope to employ these techniques in my own teaching.
