Psychology with Counselling Skills I love to teach Psychology and Counselling Skill. I use my psychology skills to help my students, using mindfulness and due care to positively encourage learning. At the same time a spoonful of fun can help engage the student making learning interesting for my students. I have good knowledge in the mentioned fields and will support my student through the thick and thin of their studies. I have a 2.1 degree, and am also able to relate to students who are dyslexic and can help in providing different approaches to learning. I am also competent in teaching Geography and English. I am dedicated to supporting the people I tutor as I am passionate about the subjects I teach. I understand the pressure of being a student and the pains of trying to reach deadlines. I also empathise when words are hard to put together when trying to get an essay done.ย  From secondary school level to research to literature reviews to dissertation, my aim is to see the student through to graduation.ย  If there is a problem with meeting in person, I can accept doing Skype lessons, which has proved a success with previous students.ย We found that as we talk about the subject, I can quickly tap in the information or research and immediately email links and literature to help the student. Younger students like this way of learning because they are usually more engaged when at their computer. Best wishesย  Ruby

Being a keen music enthusiast and having had the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments, my role as a piano teacher is something I thoroughly enjoy. Having played the piano for 14 years (classically trained with 1 year experience in jazz) and teaching according to the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) for 1 year, I adopt an idiographic teaching method in an attempt to best accommodate all learning styles for all ages. As such, the foundation of lessons can range from traditional to more contemporary and creative formats, all of which are dependent on what`s most efficient, enjoyable and pragmatic for each pupil when learning both the practical and theoretical elements of music. Taking a committed and dedicated approach, my ultimate goal is to ensure each pupil is provided with the necessary tools and knowledge-base to progress with the piano whilst simultaneously taking a growing interest and positive attitude towards learning. I also teach Philosophy and Ethics (WJEC board) as well as Psychology (AQA board), two subjects I feel passionately about and thoroughly enjoyed learning for my A-levels. Like piano, I take a very similar teaching method, adapting lesson formats to best accommodate the needs of each pupil, whilst ensuing each student is provided with the appropriate equipment allowing them to apply their knowledge to a variety of real-world scenarios and current global affairs.

Hey, hereโ€™s a little about me! I was born in Rome (Italy) but have lived and studied in Syndey (Australia), Dubai (UAE) and in the UK - so Iโ€™m used to and have experience in different curricula and approaches to study that Iโ€™ll be glad to help you with! I completed my IB Diploma in Dubai and applied to UK Universities, so Iโ€™ll also be able to walk you through any IB-related issue as well as the UCAS application process if thatโ€™s what you need help with (e.g. personal statements, interview prepping, etc..) My undergraduate degree was in Philosophy and Psychology, two subjects Iโ€™m extremely passionate about. I am very easy to talk to, and aim to establish a positive environment and relationship with my students, so that the learning environment can be maximised! I speak Italian, English and Spanish and I am a TEFL certified teacher as well.
