Dedicated and experienced tutor available for lessons or help with assignments!
Currently a student at King’s College London Maths School, I am passionate about Maths and Science and love sharing this enthusiasm with those that I teach. I have 2 years of experience tutoring students from Year 1 to Year 12 in Maths, English and Science, and enjoy helping pupils achieve and improve as much as possible. Each lesson I teach is tailored to the individual student; I like to take the time to get to know them and what methods will help them learn and maximise their potential. I am also available for help with assignments; whether it’s maths homework or an English essay, I can help you with whatever you are struggling with!View Profile
I am passionate about education and want to help!
I chose my GCSE options in year 8 and started them in year 9. It was then I felt like I had to decide what career I want to go in. I knew I enjoyed teaching as I've done a lot mentoring; I also knew that Religious Studies was one of my most favourite subjects. Really, I loved (still do) cooking the most so a career in catering was also something I wanted but then I decided that from my experience it's not the most stable career and I am an academic. My parents suggested I go into law so I focussed on that. I got 18 A* - Cs for GCSE. I got a scholarship into Oxford for a pre-degree law course which I did along side my A-levels. For AS I did German, Philosophy and Ethics, History and English language and literature. The latter 2 subjects I did not do enjoy as much so I dropped them in A2 and picked up a full A-level in IT. I got a reduced offer to do law at Oxford but I decided I didn't want to do that anymore nor be in that environment again. I chose to do philosophy and R.S. instead which allowed me to dabble with other topics such as psychology, sociology, and government and politics. I have worked at schools as pupil assistant, mentor and teacher. I am now a manager at a tuition centre. (And I've been tutoring for over 8 years now). Sorry for the essay!View Profile
Passionate religious studies tutor with specialisation in Catholicism
I have been engaged in group and personal teaching/tutoring for many years. Whilst it is no longer my main profession it remains a personal passion of mine. I have a very calm and peaceful personality and like to remove any sense of pressure from my students as I do not believe this is helpful to the learning process. I am also very adaptable to dealing with each student’s needs individually and in the style that best suits them.View Profile
Supportive qualified primary teacher
I gained my PGCE from the University of Nottingham and am currently supply teaching across various schools. Teaching in different schools and age ranges provides me with an in-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements of all subjects at all primary age levels, whilst I am able to adapt on a daily basis. I cater for different learning styles through a mixed learning approach as I use various methods to help all learners – this includes the use of visual resources and learning through a hands-on approach. My lessons include varied activities, promoting creativity, and I ensure that high expectations are set and pupils’ learning is stretched accordingly to achieve these expectations. I am caring, supportive and positive. My enthusiasm for education transfers well during teaching, allowing children to develop a thirst for learning. I understand that each child is unique and all require a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere, and I can help children to meet their potential through an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.View Profile
Passionate tutor who is ready to teach!
Currently studying at University College London. Strong believer of tailored tutoring - every student learns best differently, and it is my job to help them figure out how and adapt my teaching accordingly. I personally view being a tutor as being similar to a mentor, and hope to work with the student to develop skills that not only allow them to conquer specific academic subjects, but which can prove advantageous in many other areas. Ultimately, I strive to bring out the absolute best in my student.View Profile

Medical Sciences Student, 2+ years of experience at a licensed tuition centre :)
Studying Medical Sciences at The University of Edinburgh has been an experience that has not only helped me understand the importance and value of education, but also taught me to have pride for the achievements that you accomplish at every stage of life; emanating from an individuals hard work and effort, this in itself is a great motivator. Having a years worth of experience tutoring KS3, GCSE and A level students at a licensed tuition centre, I realised my personal aim is not only to aid my tutees in achieving their fullest potential but allowing them to go beyond so that they become ever-gratifying to their dedication, and not only walk away from their schooling years with a sheet of paper that rewards their diligence, but also a work ethic and skill set that opens up many opportunities in life. Academia addresses more than just memorising the examinable materials. Every subject tests different degrees of critical thinking, application of knowledge and strategic answering. Recognising the importance of being able to do so is vital, both in and out of the exam hall, in order to achieve success. I aim to provide my tutees with a stress relieving teaching experience that is engaging and effective, all while honing their thinking skills, alongside making learning new content a passion rather than a chore. My teaching methods ensure that the child is always looking forward to their next lesson, which enforces a positive mindset - vital to effective learning!View Profile

Dedicated tutor and who is ready to teach!
My name is Tilly, I have done lots of tutoring, mainly at GCSE level, but am very happy to help students of all ages with any school support and things they are struggling with. I tutor up to GCSE level (Maths, English, Science, RS, Geography, French, Spanish) and up to A level for French and Spanish. I speak English, French and Spanish fluently, as well as a bit of Italian and German. I am currently living in London, and am happy to travel to suit my students’ needs. I am working as a teaching assistant at Francis Holland School, so am used to working with and teaching children. I have always had very good reviews for my tutoring, and appreciate any feedback. I aim for a very open and relaxed approach to my tutoring so as to make my tutees feel comfortable about asking me any questions. I have had coronavirus, so no need to worry about that!View Profile
