Learning science from a scientist
You will get Chemistry from someone that lives for (loves) chemistry. I work as an academic researcher in radiochemistry, a sub-sector of chemistry that uses radioactivity to synthesise molecule for diagnosis. I have years of research experience Having worked in several research groups in the area of medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical technology (Italy, Spain, UK). During my scientific career I have been trained and gained experience in tutoring master (2 for 1 year) and undergraduate students (5 for 6-8 months). I have a passion for science, research and teaching. The way I try to tutor is to make sure that the student will achieve a strong knowledge of science that makes him/her feel confident with the subject. I feel competent to help anyone in Chemistry on any level and Maths and Biology up to A-levels. I start my sessions by first understanding which level you are and we go through together to different sections you want to learn, which questions are difficult to understand and past papers. I then use this to plan, with your input, the goals and the and timeframe. I am very committed to the success of my student and I am fully devoted to answering quickly and effectively your questions. I am here to put my knowledge as a service to help you to achieve your goals. Through tutoring, I also mentor the student for your development. I think its a pretty unique experience that you will have to be mentored by an experienced chemist that love science. The low price does not reflect my high commitment. I have decided to start with this price to allow me to familiarise with this platform. I hope that you would consider this great opportunity.View Profile
Dedicated tutor and who is ready to teach!
Academic coaching and tutoring for namely those that get distracted.
I’m particularly keen in helping students with attentional difficulties, task management issues, restlessness, and other related issues. I want to hammer the notion home, especially to young people, that learning is the most pleasurable thing in the world so long as you properly negotiate your approach to it with your difficulties. I have attention deficit disorder (ADD) myself, and after feeling shattered by not meeting the standards I knew I could achieve (for example, a characteristic ADD symptom is hyper-focus on what you’re interested in: I got 98% in English Literature - something I love - at A-level, but two B’s in philosophy and politics), I sought to do something about it and developed an approach which has worked really nicely (for example, now being able to read three books a week). I am currently doing a BA in Arabic at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and attended King Alfred School in Hampstead where I achieved 6A*s and 3As at GCSE level and A*BB at A level.View Profile

Versatile tutor and undergraduate at University of Southampton
Experienced tutor and Medical student at King's College London
I am an experienced tutor in the subjects of Maths, English & Science for Key Stage 1-4, covering the 11+, SATs and GCSE curriculum. I teach students from age 5 up to AS-levels and have extensive experience in private tutoring for these subjects. Currently I am a 4th year medical student at King`s College London and have been teaching students of all ages/levels privately and at an Ofsted registered tuition centre for many years. Being a tutor for over 5 years now, I have gained great interpersonal skills that help in creating an environment where the student is comfortable in developing their learning skills and attaining good results. I have got a valid CRB/DBS check as well and can be provided if needed. For gifted and talented students, I enable them to reach their maximum potential and I prepare them to do their GCSE exams as early as possible with some of them siting their actual GCSE mathematics exam as early as year 5. I teach from my home but I can travel to your house as well (if not too far).View Profile
PGCE Trained Teacher/Private Tutor for Early Years, KS1 & KS2/7+ Exam Prep
I am a qualified EYFS and KS1 teacher. Having completed my PGCE in Primary Education in 2015, I have been able to teach in two different boroughs. In my first year, I taught in the borough of Richmond where I taught a Reception class. Here, I was able to use my skills to bring my class up to the national expectation at the end of the year. I am aware of the national curriculum expectations within this phase. EYFS differs from the KS1 and KS2 Curriculum as it focuses on 7 areas of learning. Here, it is important to gauge how best the child learns. Opportunities within the EYFS environment allow for the class to become independent learners, and I am able to create creative evironments in order for learning to occur. Here, skills in both English and Maths are embedded. The expection with English is that all students must be able to apply their phonics knowledge in order to form a legible sentence. Through the use of song, art, word games and handwriting practice, curriculum expectations will most certainly be met. This is similar with maths, where practical activities have allowed for critical thinking to take place. In my second year of teaching, I taught a Yr 1 class in Newham. Here, I was able to again bring my class up to the national expectation, with accelerated progress in certain subjects. The KS1 Curriculum picks up from the EYFS Curriculum as it expands on Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar within Years 1 and 2. These are all skills that I have practised with my previous class on a daily basis. Within Year 1 the expectation at the end of the year is to pass the Phonics Screening which all my class were able to do. With maths, the aim is to develop reasoning skills as well mental arithmetic. I tutor Early Year’s, KS1 and KS2. I also have high expectations and believe students need to be taught the skills to become resilient learners.View Profile
