I have worked as an independent tutor for over 5 years and I am currently studying Biochemistry at the University of Warwick. I’m a business minded tutor who loves helping others learn!
Hi there, I’m a kiwi guy living in Wandsworth, London. I’m great with kids of all ages, a top quality teacher and listener, and a very fast learner myself. My strengths are in numbers, finance, computers, English & soft skills, but I’m open to yours and your children’s needs! I’m also bachelor qualified accountant with over 8 years experience in roles in both New Zealand and London. My teaching style is very attentive. I like to spend time ensuring the right understanding has been made. I really enjoy the eureka moments and will readily try new or different techniques if I can see if a particular style of teaching isn’t working. I’ve had experience teaching through study groups and in a working environment. I have a passion for teaching, for nurturing success and for helping people overcome obstacles. I’d very much like to become a teacher in future too. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Looking forward to helping out however I can! Corben Lawrie
Want to be on top of your class? Be better, Learn better.
Welcome! I am an A level student currently studying Economics, Business and Government & Politics A level qualifications and predicted three As. I passed all of my GCSE achieving As and A*s across English maths science and my other subjects. Although I achieved well in my subjects I believe education is more than examinations. To learn is to better yourself, however due to the crucial part of life learning holds I believe studying should be a passion, something we strive at and most importantly enjoy. As a student getting high exam results wasn’t second nature to me, but after year 9 I decided to put my head down and enjoy what I was studying. This allowed me to do well and prosper in my education and as a result this showed in my results. I am dedicated to providing all my students the best educational experience possible and this is not just teaching them something, but teaching the reasoning behind it so they can remember it, understand and implement it in their answers. My experience in teaching students sitting the 11+ exam has allowed me to understand what is required of the exam and I would love to help your child succeed in their educational exams and also create the motivation for them to do well and achieve high. I am offering tuition during weekdays for anyone studying at primary school, sitting any admission exams (11+) and secondary school years 7-8.
