Education Consultant, Qualified Teacher, highly experienced Private Tutor
Currently I work on many Department for Education projects striving to improve the quality of education across the UK, particularly in the area of mental health and effective teaching. I also work as an education consultant delivering training internationally to students and teachers alike. I am a supportive and encouraging tutor, with many years experience as a qualified teacher and many more as a private tutor on a 1:1/small group level. I am educated to Masters Level in Health Psychology and Education, so I am certainly no stranger to education myself! In my "spare" time, I also mark across many exam boards for GCSE and A-Level which keeps my knowledge of how to support students fresh and relevant. I have worked with young children starting out on their education journey through to Bachelor and Masters Level University degrees. Whilst my subject specialism is Psychology, I have taught across a range of subjects with enthusiasm, which ensures that I have an excellent track record of students gaining exam results which exceed their minimum target grades, with many meeting their aspirational target grades. I have taught in a range of education settings which include: primary and secondary schools, Pupil Referral Units, Further and Higher Education. This includes working with individuals of all abilities and backgrounds, including having experience in working with individuals who may have special educational needs or have English as a second language. This has been in a variety of subjects which include: Entrance Exams, English, Maths, Science, Health, Psychology and Humanities, among others. I have taught extensively online as well as in person. I am fortunate enough to be an Examiner of KS2, GCSE and A-Level providing me with a detailed insight into a range of exam boards. I am a friendly and supportive tutor who can be relied upon to provide the best quality lessons. I like to incorporate humour and fun, tailoring my lessons to the needs and interests of the students I am delivering to.View Profile
Passionate English and ESL Tutor
Hello! My name is Mehak. I studied Criminology and Psychology at university and now work as an English tutor and ESL teacher. I have always had a passion for English Language and Literature, and always got the highest marks in school. Creative writing is one of my favourite things to do and I love reading too. I can be a bit of a stickler for correct grammar and punctuation, which makes this job perfect for me. I have been a volunteer and private tutor of English, both academic and general, for over 6 months now. I can honestly say that there is nothing else I would rather do than teach others. Positivity is the key to succeeding and that is the motto I go by. I think learning is the best and we can have so much fun learning together! Don't be nervous, I am here to help. It's okay if you make mistakes because that is how we learn. Confidence is just as important as positivity, because you need to feel like you are capable of doing well. I constantly offer encouragement for all of my students. Even when they are really struggling. You are doing this for yourself, not me, not your parents, not your teachers. Just keep calm and keep smiling! You can do this and I can't wait for us to get started! https://www.tutorfair.com/blog/volunteer-tutoring-mehaks-storyView Profile

Hello:) I am a University student studying English Literature at Kings Collage London. My passion for teaching and helping students achieve their full potential is the reason why I am working as part time tutor whilst aspiring to be a teacher once I have graduated. My teaching techniques are simple. I adapt my methods to the students depending on their level and pace, encouraging and helping them to obtain and exceed their targets. English, Maths, Humanities | IELTS | Education MA | Experienced and friendly
I am an enthusiastic tutor who can make learning fun and relevant. I aim to make ideas clear to the student, in order that they can use them fluidly and flexibly, and to encourage genuine understanding. I enjoy teaching and believe learning starts with the learner, adapting ideas and course content to meet their interests and needs. I give children, young people, and adults thorough explanations of concepts and lots of practice to consolidate their learning. I can also teach English as a Foreign Language and Functional Maths to adults. I have experience working with alternative education programmes in England and am widely versed in non-hierarchical learning which involves both student and teacher in consideration of a common object. I have worked with adults for their IELTS exam, students for their A-levels and their GCSE across many educational backgrounds and needs including SEN. Collectively, with TutorFair, Scoodle, Titanium Tutors, I have been a tutor for over 350 hours. Currently, I am an Education student at the UCL IOE, having studied English at Queen Mary, University of London (1.1) before this. Here, I have learned several new qualities in research, teaching and learning.View Profile

An undergrad student looking to help you succeed in your Education!
I am an undergraduate Psychology student who tutors in Psychology, Law and Sociology- I do GCSE and A-level. My approach is completely student centred and I tailor every lesson to the child’s needs and wants. The first session is usually an introductory session where the student and I will discuss their goals and aims for tutoring and then finding out what their weaknesses are in the subject. From this we work together on understanding the foundation of the subject and building it up in order for the student to improve their grades. I believe that each and every student is capable in getting the grades they want and some students just need guidance to get there.View Profile
