Enthusiastic tutor by day and UCL medic by night!
Experienced Maths, Science and Medical Application tutor. I have always enjoyed teaching and have years of experience tutoring. I think studying should be fun! Having said that, I hated school growing up. I was always in the bottom set, and had little motivation to improve. But through some great teachers and online tutors in year 11, I turned things around. I went from low predicted grades to smashing my GCSEs, getting 3A* and an A (Maths, Bio, Chem and Spanish) at A-Level and 4 medical school offers!!! Now I want to help others enjoy learning, as I believe that’s the key to success. Whether you just want to pass, improve slightly or massively, I hope I can help!! Thanks, BenView Profile

Dedicated tutor and who is ready to teach!
My name is Tilly, I have done lots of tutoring, mainly at GCSE level, but am very happy to help students of all ages with any school support and things they are struggling with. I tutor up to GCSE level (Maths, English, Science, RS, Geography, French, Spanish) and up to A level for French and Spanish. I speak English, French and Spanish fluently, as well as a bit of Italian and German. I am currently living in London, and am happy to travel to suit my students’ needs. I am working as a teaching assistant at Francis Holland School, so am used to working with and teaching children. I have always had very good reviews for my tutoring, and appreciate any feedback. I aim for a very open and relaxed approach to my tutoring so as to make my tutees feel comfortable about asking me any questions. I have had coronavirus, so no need to worry about that!View Profile
Passionate and experienced multilingual tutor!
I have 4 years’ experience as a private tutor and now a full-time tutor, as I have been for just over 6 months. I have experience teaching a range of students in terms of age (from 5 to over 60) and level. I have taught English as a Foreign Language, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German and Latin as well as English and Maths (up to 13+) to a total of more than 50 students (including some groups). Many of these students have been learning for exams, such as GCSEs and A-Levels, while some have been casual learners. While flexibility is essential and I try to tailor my approach to each student, I base my tutoring on transmitting my passion and expertise in learning to the student. As a speaker of many languages, I have considerable experience of the language learning process and know-how of language learning techniques. I use this to predict common pitfalls and difficulties for students, and to explain these by breaking them down in simple terms. In this way, the student’s confidence increases and they feel able to reach their targets. While I have high standards, I also believe students will naturally want to learn more if they have fun. I often use cultural materials such as books, films or songs in my lessons so that the student sees the advantages of language learning and so starts to learn proactively and thus improve faster.View Profile

I am native fluent Spanish and Catalan up to date with all current political events. I am fluent in English, reading and writing also. In order to finish my Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies I worked on a thesis based on clinical linguistics, focusing on therapies on children with special needs related to linguistic problems and their communication such as speech delay, autism or childhood apraxia of speech amongst others. I have been working with children for the last six years and have developed endless patience, I can keep calm whilst working with the most difficult of children. I have the ability and experience of preparing a class, choosing diverse activities and encouraging student’s interest since I have been self-employed and responsible for teaching. Amongst my experience I have been working for 2 years in a language academy teaching English to Spanish children between 5 and 15 years old. I am currently working in a Primary School as a Wrap Around Care Assistant, which has helped me understanding better the organization and the school’s internal operations as well as the diversity that can be found in the behavior and development of different children at the same stage. In addition to my responsibilities as Wrap Around Care Assistant I also work as a 1:1 Assistant to two children with autism in foundation stage. My experience with them has helped me to acquire and process in a practical way all the information that I studied and worked in throughout my bachelor’s degree and when conducting my thesis.View Profile
Fun and passionate native Spanish Speaker!
Hola! I am a native Spanish speaker from Spain. I have more than 100 hours experience teaching Spanish from beginners to advanced level . My lessons are enjoyable and fun and you get to learn a lot in the easiest and most suitable way for you. From learning languages from a young age I can tell you I know how you feel and I know with what people struggle the most when learning a new language. Being able to master English when I came from Spain was not an easy task but with the help of tutors and a lot of speaking and reading lessons I managed to learn the language in around 1 year! You can too . I am a very patient and fun person . I will always try to get the best out of you and make our lessons as interactive as possible ( even when we will have to go through the dreaded grammar). Learning a new language is fun and it will not only make you more confident but it will also help improve your memory , reduce aging to name a few. Not only this but it will help you to be more open minded and you will be able to meet interesting people from all over the world. If Spanish is something you would like to learn and if you are looking for fun and interactive lessons do not hesitate to drop me a message.View Profile
