Write √ 128 as a power of 2?
128 = 2x2x2x2x2x2x2 = 2 multiplied by itself SEVEN times, so it is 2 to the power 7. so that leaves you with √2^7 √ = anything to the power 0.5 so that leaves you with (2^7)^0.5 rule of powers involving brackets mean you multiply the power inside the bracket by the power outside the bracket so you get 2^(7x0.5) = 2^3.5 hope this helped!💗

David drove a distance (d) of 187 km, correct to 3 significant figures. He used 28 litres of petrol (p), correct to 2 significant figures. The petrol consumption (c) of a car, in km per litre, is given by the formula d As p By considering bounds, wor?
d is to three sig. fig. so: 186.5 < d < 187.5 p is to two sig. fig. so: 27.5 < p < 28.5 you get the LARGEST value for c by dividing the LARGEST value for d by the SMALLEST value for p so: c < 187.5/27.5 = 6.818 km per litre you get the SMALLEST value for c by dividing the SMALLEST value for d by the LARGEST value for p so: c > 186.5/28.5 = 6.544 km per litre so : 6.544 < c < 6.818 hope this... more

A cheetah stalking her pray is moving at 1 m/s. She accelerates to a speed of 25 m/s to catch the zebra. Her acceleration is 10 m/s squared. Calculate the time taken to reach her top speed?
a = Δv / t 10 = (25-1) / t t = 24/10 =2.4s
