There are a variety of ways in which belief in the trinity can influence Christians today. For example:

- Belief in the Trinity can provide comfort to Christians because it presents God as active in the world through the Holy Spirit. In this way, God is ever present for Christians and does not abandon them. 
- Believing in God the son leads Christians to have faith in the redemptive power of God, which in turn makes belief in heaven possible.
- Part of believing in God the Father is the idea that God is all powerful which in turn leads to confidence in the fact that God controls what will and will not happen.
