I am trying to get into investment banking/brokering after A-levels. I am planning to do a finance Bsc will I still be able to do a MBA afterwards even though I haven't taken business before?

People come into investment banking from different backgrounds. Be sure to follow financial journals (Financial Times and the Economist) to demonstrate your interest. At 400 Table, if the company wants to increase their profit by 10%, what is the suitable price?

Hi Dema; assuming the cost of the table is 400, to get a profit of 10%, we find 10% of 400 (10/100 * 400) , which is 40. We can then add this 40 to 400 cost price to get 440. A 440 sales price gives you a 10% profit

Also, certain companies found it hard to grow organically (by themselves), so they acquired others to create this illusion of growth. M&A comes with the challenge with integrating the two companies, and could results in lots of lay-offs due to overlapping responsibilities. This may mean you l... more

I got a offer letter from X company and they are offering me 11lac and now I got selected in another company that is offering me 30lac.Could you please let me know how to write a formal letter to previous company to inform them that I am getting 30?

Hi Ayush, I would suggest not mentioning the amount the other company is offering you to start with. Simply state that you are thankful for the offer and appreciate the opportunity to have interviewed with the firm, however, you have received another offer which you have decided to pursue after careful consideration. This way, you don’t burn any bridges, and if they really like you they may ask... more
