Why are all of the first row transition elements form an ion with the oxidation state +2?

These elements in are the first period in the d-block. They don’t only form +2 oxidation numbers but can go even higher. But if your trying to say why are they all having a 2+ ion in common, the simple answer is that they all experience a loss of two electrons and no less. As they are in between group 2 and group 3 of the periodic table, it makes sense for all of them to form the 2+ ion. Hope this... more

How should you revise for economics?

Personally, I would recommend that you do past papers and DEFINITELY look at the mark scheme to compare what you said to the mark scheme. Past paper practice is one of the most fundamental ways of revision no matter what the subject, so that you keep repeating questions with different context, until you learn from your mistakes. Hope this helps!

English

Asked by Muna · 4 years ago

How should i motivate myself to revise and keep on top of my notes? And in particular, how should i revise for English liteeature A level? Thanks?

To answer your first question, try this technique, which has psychologically been proven effective for revision. It’s known as the 10minute rule where you tell yourself to only conduct 10 minutes of work and give up after that if you want. This in turn tricks your brain into getting started (which is probably the hardest part). After those 10 minutes are up, you’re more inclined to do more as you... more
