Mathematics PhD student, with relevant industry and teaching experience.
Industry experience: Before starting my PhD, I was a Mathematician at GLI UK, a gambling regulator, where I would use mathematics to build models to verify game returns and run statistical analyses on those games. Teaching experience: Whilst at Keele University, I was a member of the Stoke-on-Trent Mathematics Excellence partnership. As a member, I taught mathematics at Trentham High School as a SCITT intern, recieved professional teacher training, ran intervention classes for students at Birches Head Academy. I also co-founded Keele University's FunMaths Roadshow, wherein myself and a team of fellow undergraduates vistited schools across Stoke, to provide a competitive problem solving activity session, with the goal of improving problem solving skills in schools.

I’m passionate about teaching biology!
I am currently a third year medical student with just over a year’s experience tutoring. I love biology, chemistry and history, studying these subjects in college, and aspire to pass this passion for the subjects on!
Experienced tutor and undergraduate at University of Birmingham
I’ve been a teacher for nearly twenty years and still absolutely love it as much as I did when I first started! I like to make my tutoring sessions fun and enjoyable. I find that making the maths and English lessons so they have a theme around Minecraft, Star Wars, Little Mix or whatever the child is interested in, really helps to engage them. I don’t believe in asking parents to sign up for blocks of sessions or anything like that, preferring to offer a more flexible approach, where we can see how the child is getting on and how best to move on in future sessions.
Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at The University of Manchester
I have been tutoring for 5 years teaching 1-on-1 and group classes to children and adults in English, History, Religious Studies and ESL. My teaching philosophy is to guide students to solve their academic challenges through enquiry and to build confidence. I teach students techniques to write coherent analytical essays and exam answers. As well as tools to manage the information and stresses associated with academic study. For me, there is no silly question. I help students learn how to study and work towards the grades they want.
Law graduate with 12+ years practical work experience looking to tutor in law
Hi, Im Amba. I am a mum to a 6 year old boy, a lawyer and law tutor! I have been interested in teaching/tutoring/mentoring students for some time and have always found ways to do this in all my roles. I provide teaching on all core subjects with some options too please contact me to discuss any optional subjects. I have experience of working with students with SEN; dyslexia, ADHD and ASD. I will help you to learn through application of law to real case studies, as opposed to "throwing a load of information" at you. This is not engaging for you as there is no element of thought for you to be a sponge. i will encourage you to think for yourself and anticipate what the next steps are. I have found online sessions to be the best form of teaching as they are that little bit more interactive, I like to follow students own course outlines, working towards any upcoming assessments or seminars which need to be prepared for. I have a patient, nurturing but firm approach. I am fun, approachable and down to earth. I will always be honest and believe that everyone should further their knowledge and would love to be apart of helping someone do that! I have been tutoring students across all disciplines of law, and differing levels; A Level, CILEX, LLB, LLM, LPC and GDL. I am able to offer other subjects which are listed on my profile as i have experience within these, i am however focusing on Law Tutoring but feel free to contact me to discuss your needs and my availability. Here's a cringy video of me to introduce myself - https://youtu.be/WBsRWiPNe9A I offer both face to face and online sessions. Face to face will have added travel costs due to the cost of travel and extra time, but this will be discussed with you. ------ I also provide a proofreading service for essays, coursework, dissertations etc .I can also provide guidance as to how to structure the essay ahead of writing it so there is a starting point which will help you obtain the best possible grade and not involve a re-write after proofreading. There are different levels of packages available which are dependant on; word count and turnaround time. All prices include a video call to go through any feedback afterwards. All documents will be returned using a track changes document. Discounts for students already receiving tutoring or for multiple essays, or for a return on the same essay following feedback will apply. Please contact me for a quote. 1. Structure planning - basic structure and content ideas provided with point of interest to note. 2. Basic Formatting - spacing, margins, alignment, font, italicisation, consistent formatting throughout the document. 2. 2nd year Chemistry and Maths student! Let me help you reach your goals! 💯💫
I am a 2nd year Chemistry and Mathematics joint honours student. I have a strong background in the sciences with A* in Mathematics A Level and As in Chemistry, Physics and Biology A Levels. I believe that any student can excel in a subject if they want to achieve. To make sure my student fully understands a concept I like to break it down into the simplest forms and make sure the student can relay this back to me at the end of the lesson. I use past paper examples as I think this is the best way to prepare. I like to bring fun into the subject by using real world examples and showing how the student can use these concepts in their everyday life. I like to be relaxed with the student and assure them that any progress is good progress no matter how small.
