Expert English tutor!
I have just graduated with a Distinction in a Master of Studies (MSt) in English 1550-1770 at the University of Oxford, having graduated with First Class Honours with a BA in English Language and Literature in July 2017. I have been tutoring for 4 years now and during that time have truly come to appreciate how personalised approaches to learning facitilated by the one-to-one tutoring format can truly help students to reach their potential. All of my students have seen a huge improvement in their grades, but more importantly in their confidence. Language and literature study are not subjects which come naturally to everyone and I hope to make it not only accessible but also highly enjoyable. Nothing pleases me more than hearing from former students who have gone on to study Medicine or Law that tell me that they are still reading! I have a strong academic record, not dropping a single mark in my English studies from GCSE to A Level and earning a scholarship in my first year at the University of Oxford. I was one of the top applicants for my Masters course and was recommended by the English faculty for a Humanities Division scholarship. A love of learning and lateral exploration is at the center of everything that I do and in all my educational experiences as a student and a tutor, I have found that individual thinking is the core to success. In my work as a tutor, an educational volunteer, an academic mentor and as a tutor manager for an online education company I have a nuanced understanding of the ways in which we can harness online technology to further education and child development. I have hundreds of hours experience tutoring English Literature and English Language for all levels up to A-level, IB and undergraduate level in addition to teaching English as a foreign language. I am also able to provide academic mentoring, school entrance tutoring and university admissions guidance.
My passion for Maths and CS makes me want to share the thrill with my students.
I am a second year student at the University of Oxford and I am very passionate about my subject, Computer Science. I believe I am quite an approachable and friendly person and I love to help people understand how these subjects work. I am looking for students who want to learn in a different way than they are taught in school, and try to share with them my joy for these two subjects.
Accomplished tutor and undergraduate at University of Oxford
I’m Alex, and I’m a second year undergraduate currently studying Maths and Computer Science at the University of Oxford. My passion for these subjects stem from a young age: I’ve continuously taken part in various courses and contests, often achieving well in them. Pursuing Maths has also broadened my horizons significantly; Maths as a universal language connects us all, and I’ve taken advantage of that to collaborate with many other students both at a local and international level. I would be able to tutor in a number of areas. My deep and broad knowledge of Maths and Computer Science means that I’ll be able to tutor them up to A level/pre-university standard. Having been through the Oxford admissions process, I’m also well equipped in mentoring potential applicants, and would be able to offer help with interview and admissions test preparation.
Graduate from University of Oxford and experienced tutor
I have been teaching A-Level Biology for the last 4 years at a couple of tutorial colleges in Oxford. Fairly comfortable in adapting the style based on students learning preferences. Have recently completed a PhD in cardiovascular medicine at University of Oxford.

I firmly believe that everyone can enjoy and be good at science and maths. In my lessons I focus on teaching fundamental problem solving skills and passing on my own enthusiasm for the subjects I teach.

Versatile tutor and undergraduate at University of Toronto
I have yet to find a particular style, as I have not had much experience yet. But, I put emphasis on the fact that the student be able to recite and learn the material of their own accord with me as their guide rather than as their instructor or drill sergeant.
Online tutor with focus on English, Mathematics, Philosophy and Linguistics.
Currently studying at the University of Oxford, expecting a first class degree and holding Masters offers from Cambridge (including a full scholarship) and Oxford. The various prizes and consistent high grades in my own academic record speak for themselves. I have prior experience tutoring English Language A Level through my sixth form college mentoring scheme, as well as experience teaching English as a foreign language at summer camps. I am also able to tutor mathematics, philosophy, and Oxbridge admissions (especially Oxford).

Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at University of Oxford
I bring three tenants to my tutoring: proficiency, engagement, and dedication. Firstly, students are confident that I know every bit of the material, which is really important in giving them the confidence to ask questions and understand new ideas. Secondly, I constantly engage with my students. I ask them questions, present ideas in relevant examples, and encourage them to problem-solve in detail. Thirdly, I am committed to seeing tangible improvement from my students. That means I'll spend time and patience in communicating critical concepts, whether that means nailing down ideas within lessons, scouting out useful reading, or running overtime, to make sure my students fully learn. Current PPE undergraduate at the University of Oxford. Can give lessons to anyone from GCSE to first-year undergraduate standard, including A-Level and IB. Enjoy teaching any students willing to learn, really good at helping students to 'come out of their shell', that is those that are a bit shy or inexperienced with problem-solving - getting them to analyse and think critically. Format is similar to a tutorial format that one would experience at university.
Enthusiastic physics and maths tutor, recently graduated
Hi my name is Adam and I’ve just finished my degree in physics and been offered a place to do a PhD in some very exciting experimental physics! I have been passionate about all things science from a young age and now looking to hopefully ignite a similar passion in those I tutor. Experience I have gained from sitting GCSEs, A-Levels and degree level exams has taught me much when it comes to doing your best in stressful times like these and my teaching style reflects best practices; lots of exam questions and tips + tricks when it comes to revision.
First Class History of Art Graduate, and Theology Graduate Student at Oxford
I have the most to offer to A Level students, but would also be willing to work flexibly with first year undergraduates on both essay refinement, and also in designing a schedule of additional material above and beyond the content of any course formally studied. Above all, I'm happy to look over and talk through work before its formal submission at GCSE, A Level, and first year of undergraduate study. Alongside taking a First Class degree at the University of Buckingham in the History of Western Art, I took an additional specialised research track in English Literature, producing First Class work across all areas of study and research. I have experience in tutoring International Baccalaureate and A Level, and have supported admissions to Russell Group universities.
I want to help you become good friends with the language you are learning!
Hii, Here a short summary of my language skills: I am half Italian and half Macedonian and can speak both languages, Italian and Macedonian, fluently. I lived for 7 years in Italy and went to an Italian school, then I moved to Germany and lived there for another 7 years before moving to the UK. In Gemany I did my Fachoberschulreife, the German version of GSCE’s, successfully. I had to learn the German language myself, so I know how it is to learn a language from 0 and know the struggles. My goal is to see you succeed with your language studies. No matter if you have to do it for school of just want to learn a language for your own interest. If you think I can help you, just contact me and I will be happy to help you!
Friendly maths tutor who can teach and inspire!
Hi my name is Lucy and I am an 18 year old girl from Oxford. I am on my gap year saving up some money to hopefully travel next year. I value the importance of having a tutor who not only teaches clearly and patiently but who is also relatable and can be a role model in their learning and revision. I hope to be that person who can explain concepts to students and deepen their understanding of a topic whilst also inspiring a positive attitude to learning that can extend into their other school subjects. Experience: I have been preparing my year 11 cousin for her GCSE mocks by doing lessons via zoom for the past couple of weeks now. In school I helped out once a fortnight with year 7 students to improve their confidence in maths and help them maintain concentration on their work. In October 2020 I stayed with a French family for an au pair language exchange experience. During my time there I planned and prepared English lessons for the boys and helped them with maths and reading homework.
