Study smarter, learn faster without working harder
I spent a lot of my class time in secondary school being bored and restless. I was NOT a model student. Sitting in a class was always so boring to me. Then I discovered fun ways of making the lessons interesting when I attended the Mind Olympics in Earls Court. The 'mind athletes' at this event learned how to use their brains like a musical instrument. Learning and memorising facts easily like picking up feathers. Ever since that time I have been learning many subjects and showing other students how to enjoy their subjects while find better ways to get the results they want.
Enthusiastic tutor in chemistry and maths
I have graduated from high school in the UK and am currently studying Medicine at UCL. I am very interested in science subjects, and have taken them in A levels, receiving 3A*s. I would therefore like to share my ways of studying as well as exam techniques. I am a curious and enthusiastic individual who is particularly interested in Chemistry. I have been involved in Chemical Analytical Challenges and Symposiums. At school, I have also given biology presentations, including topics of epilepsy and effects of chocolate on the brain. I enjoy learning about the human system as it allows me to understand fully on how our body responds to different situations. I also had the experience of teaching Mathematics, alongside sciences. I have achieved A* within a year in A level maths, with UMS 581/600. I relish the logical thinking in Maths and have tutored several students, giving them advice on how to approach a question when prompted. From past experiences, I adopted a wide range of teaching styles, ranging from interactive whiteboards during online tutoring, to providing quizzes and exercises during face-to-face tutoring. I believe that this interaction will enhance visual learning and enable students to retain knowledge and be more interested in the subject. I am a native Chinese speaker and have taken Chinese GCSE and AS level. In my free time, I am an avid violinist and was the leader of Symphony Orchestra. I have taken music as one of my GCSEs before and I particularly enjoyed the classical pieces studied during the course. I hope to connect with more people and influence students with my passion for the subjects through teaching. Please contact me if interested. Thank you very much.

Graduate from UCL. Really enjoy tutoring and helping others
Hi :) I'm Alisha. Ive been told that I am an individual who has a positive can do attitude and easy going. You can let me know if this is true ? I've been tutoring for almost 9 years now and absolutely enjoy it. Especially knowing that I'm helping students to build a strong foundation to set them up for the future. I have tutored students from KS1 upto A-levels, teaching Maths and Sciences (and English to younger students). Not only have I tutored students, I have had the amazing opportunity (and a challenging yet unique experience) to also home school a number of students in the past. Misc: I am a socially active person who enjoys trying out new activities or visiting new places. Next on the to do list is sky diving (ahhhh). I also try to be actively involved in raising funds for different charities. For example, I have helped organise charity events to raise funds for educational resources and schools in rural developing countries and orphans in need.

I’m passionate about teaching Physics, Maths and Programming.
I’m currently a second year PhD student at Imperial College doing physics. I’m passionate about Maths, physics and coding (especially in Python) and love sharing my experiences and enthusiasm with those I teach. “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough” has always been the major motivation that drives me to teach and makes me enjoy teaching. When I teach, my strategy involves ensuring students understand basic concepts and techniques, how to link them together to solve more complex problems and helping students build up their abstract thinking progressively. In the past, I had taught A-level physics to Year 12 students at Newham Collegiate Sixth Form as a part-time tutor. My teaching experience also includes undergraduate teaching at Imperial College and I’ve taught undergraduate-level courses such as Year 2 Electromagnetism (for chemists), Year 3 Computational Physics and supervised Year 1 summer projects. Prices are negotiable.
Dedicated tutor and undergraduate at University of Oxford
I have tutored children from 11 to 16 years old before, and my methods are based in knowing the syllabus through and through in order to get great results in their exams. For more holistic tutoring, I encourage my tutees to stretch their minds through external reading, as well as coaxing them into seeing problems in different ways.
Excellent Civil Engineering student offering A level Maths & Sciences support
I am a civil engineering student and I studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry as my A level subjects, from which I got outstanding results, A*AA. This led me to studying civil engineering at a Russell Group Uni - Warwick University! I am also working at the same time at a big Engineering company as an Assistant Civil Engineer. My excellent academic career has nurtured in me a natural talent for teaching. My experiences have taught me how to tackle one problem at a time, and I believe that using this approach—paired with my unconventional examples that force students to think outside the box—I can truly provide an excellent understanding and explanation. One of the main reasons you are seeing this ad is that I really enjoy teaching Maths, numbers and everything that has to do with it, because every day, every step is Maths, believe me! Also, I am very dedicated to making others understand it better and change their attitude towards this subject, as I hear many people say they 'hate it'. So, if that is you, you're in the right place! I also love teaching Sciences as they communicate us the way the universe is created and why everything happens! The first time I realised that people understand the way I explain things, was with my friends; sometimes they would understand me better than the teacher and I have volunteered at school and other organizations to teach other students. Most of the students I have taught were university students who struggled with the Engineering Mathematics modules, Structural Mechanics etc. I have taught A level/BTEC/KS3/KS4 students too!
Passionate software developer
I am an enthusiastic software developer. I mostly like programming as you have the opportunity to get new challenges every day and solve different kinds of problems. The best way of learning a programming language is by practising. That's why my lessons include solving coding problems. I believe that in the future all of us will be required to know at least some basic programming. Thus, I want to share any knowledge as this will benefit both myself and other people realise that programming is not that hard, it's actually fun :)

I am an approachable incoming 2nd year medical student at University College London (UCL). I am a 2021 graduate of Dulwich College where I was also Vice-Captain in my final year and my responsibilities included liaising with the Academic Team about the curriculum and supporting students progressing up the College with their studies. I achieved all A*s at GCSE, and A*A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Latin at A Level respectively. Throughout my career at the College, I was fortunate to gain experience early on in mentoring and working with those struggling with their studies at several local schools across Southwark. On a weekday lunchtime for two years, I would give up an hour to spend time working through areas students found challenging. I recently mentored a disengaged and shy Year 10 pupil; actively listening to his problems and building trust were essential to improving his academic progress, which was humbling. I have always taken a great interest in Biology, Chemistry, Maths & Latin (my A Level subjects) from the beginning. During the months leading up to the Latin GCSE exam, I would compile resources for my class and go through important concepts with both friends and my class. Knowledge has always been something that should be shared to me, and I believe that it is possible for anyone to achieve the top grades if they are motivated, diligent, and guided methodically. Tutoring and helping others maximise their full academic potential has always been something that I have enjoyed. I am extremely passionate in offering support in the respective subject, but also in providing a more holistic approach. I am keen to discuss revision techniques, share experiences and direct students/parents to resources at schools that they may not be aware of. It was only a few months ago that I was at school, and I can appreciate the demands it can place on students. I am also keen to help those applying for medicine or Year 7/9 entry to independent schools – I went through this rigorous process not long ago, and there is a lot I have taken away in the process. I would love to help and guide anyone who is interested. I also help students with medical school applications, and offers have been secured at universities such as UCL and Edinburgh. Ever since I started my GCSEs, I knew I would love to tutor students once I finish my A Levels and graduate from Dulwich College. I currently tutor five students across London and the Home Counties – two in GCSE and three in KS3. I have just finished tutoring two students right the way through from the Year 10 summer to their last GCSE exam. *I am currently recruiting students for 2022-23*. Thank you for reading, and I would be delighted to help your son/daughter. Tutoring Approach: I am extremely organised, and tailor lessons according to the relevant specifications. With the increase in online students due to the pandemic, I am very confident in using video conference to tutor and Microsoft applications to create resources. My teaching style is based around first gaining an overview and understanding of the topic, and then moving to exam questions to identify any misunderstandings or gaps in knowledge. As a medic, I try to incorporate real-life examples when teaching topics to make lessons more engaging and interesting. Active recall and spaced repetition form an essential element of my teaching. The use of examiner’s reports and mark schemes are also vital in this process. As a student, I would always endeavour to be ‘one-step ahead’ and I have been keen to pass this onto my students – be it noticing common patterns in exam questions, specific terminology that exam boards like or observing common pitfalls. Experience Tutoring Experience: Over 140 hours tutored (since June 2021) I have been involved in several tutoring programmes at Dulwich College, which included tutoring a student in Latin GCSE in my final year. I would often run sessions within my class where we would go through material. At UCL, I have completed a module and workshop which explores teaching methods. Academic Experience: A Levels at Dulwich College (2021): 4A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths & Latin. A* in EPQ. UCAT & BMAT (2020) GCSEs at Dulwich College (2019): x9 Grade 9s, x1 Grade 8 & A in Additional Maths Common Entrance at Homefield Preparatory School (2016) Comments: ‘I have tremendous admiration for the manner with which Rohan approaches his studies. He is a conscientious and mature student who always produces work to the best of his ability.’ ‘Rohan’s organisation and work ethic shines through. The overall picture is that Rohan is well on course to achieving the top grades at A Level.’ ‘He is eager for challenge and goes beyond the course materials provided to find additional questions to work on.’ ‘He is a conscientious young man who is determined to succeed in all he does. I have been particularly impressed with the extra work he has done of his own volition to consolidate his knowledge of the topics covered to date and also to learn from any slight errors in his answers.’ ‘I have been incredibly impressed by Rohan's motivation this year. Not only has he dealt with the challenge of completing the AS [Latin] course in a small number of periods a week, he has also learnt all the material to an exceptionally high standard.’ ‘It has been a delight working with Rohan this term. He is an extremely hard working and motivated pupil, and our lessons are always very productive. He is focused, industrious and proactive, creating and maintaining a fantastic [Latin] OneNote with all the course resources.’
