I am a qualified mathematics teacher who works in a secondary school. I was also a middle leader in the school and have been teaching maths for over 7 years. Currently, I used to be the Key Stage 4 coordinator for a few years, so I was in charge of developing GCSE schemes of work for the maths department. I have taught all types of students from the age of 11 years up to their GCSEs. I have a vast amount of GCSE maths teaching experience with a track record of successful grades from students. I am familiar with the expectations of the new GCSE framework thus my teaching style puts an emphasis on applying subject knowledge and problem solving. I strongly believe effective teaching is not how much you know but how well you transform what you know to make learning accessible to students. I understand the importance of building a rapport with students and believe that every student has different needs. I am available to tutor on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
